Meanwhile with the hint of a triangular love between Scarlett, Ashley and Rhett, the novel depicts a wide and prosperous picture of the social life of the South in America. Not only the rich content of the novel but also the comple

3、x plots and the contradictions between the figures of the novel have an important artistic effect on shaping the characters in the novel. Among all the roles, Scarlett, is the most successful one who is full of conflicting and complicated features. This article analyzes the character traits of Scarl

4、ett from three aspects: the first one is that she is childish and capricious before the civil war; the second one is that she is smart and brave during the civil war; the third one is that she is tenacious after the civil war. After her failure to confess to Ashley, she promises to married to Charles. She just is just like a little girl. Becaus

During the war, too much hardship makes scarlet strong, brave and self-improvement.Experience in the war, it is also the leading process of change. In this period from a follow ones inclinations, scarlet covet pleasures of the woman became a shrewd t

But Scarlett has to stay at Atlanta with Melanie for she has made a promise to Ashley to look after Melanie who is going into labor，she even braves the life danger

17、 to escort Melanie and her newly-born baby to go back to Tara in the flames of war. Her kindness conquers the selfishness, which shows her nice aspect. She is so horrible but she sticks to go back home, but what she sees in Tara is only the endless loneliness and desolation.This stage was suffered b

These actions are mad at that time, even around the relatives and friends are shocked that this kind of adventure, scarlet is worth, and she once had decided the matter will tr

23、y to act according to her will. Life is life, cannot escape, more cant back to life in the dominant must actively face life, tried to overcome difficulties. However, this is lucky in love is a very unfortunate people, in the life stage one out-and-out love tragedy. Scarlett in life is a real realist
