1、When Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862) set out for the Walden woods in Massachusetts on Independence Day, 1845, the United States was still a young nation. After reading the book, what impressed me most is the description of the fascinating scenery around the Walden pound, especially these sentences: A lake is the landscapes most beautiful and expressive feature.
