3、式的个性特点及在影片中的具体表现, 揭示中美文化间差异的本质和冲突的原因。另一方面，在全球化的今天，跨文化交际已成为必须，对文化差异的了解，加强文化交流学习有助于培养人们的跨文化视野和跨文化交际意识，有利于促进中美文化乃至世界文化的交流与发展。二、本课题研究的现状，并列出主要参考文献（至少15项）文化是一个富有弹性的专门术语,人们普遍认为它是一种复杂的社会现象。美国文化人类学家A克罗伯(ALKroeber)和克莱德克拉克洪(Clyde Kluckhohn) (1952)列举了160多种关于文化的不同定义。英国文化人类学的奠基人爱德华泰勒(1871)指出文化的内涵：“是一个复合整体，包括知识、信

4、仰、艺术、道德、法律、习俗，以及人类在社会中所获得的一切能力与习惯。”美国哈佛大学教授塞缪尔亨廷顿(1993)则认为，中国和美国分属于当代文化的中华(Sinic)文明和西方文明。中美文化具有较大的文化差异，具有各自的文化渊源和文化特征，这些差异在一定情况下还会带来文化冲突。在比较具体文化差异时，不同学者从不同的角度,提出了一些关键的文化变量。重要的文化变量包括：宗教，语言，教育，对待时间、变化、工作、健康、消费、未来以及成就的态度，自我和世界的观念，社会关系，社会组织等。文化冲突论,当代国际关系领域中一种很有影响力的观点,最早由哈佛大学国际关系教授萨缪尔亨廷顿（Samuel Huntingto

5、n )在1993文明的冲突与世界秩序的重建中提出,并在他后来的著作中完善。持这种观点的学者认为当今世界上国与国,地区与地区之间的冲突的背后原因不是宗教与经济的冲突,而是不同文化间的冲突.亨廷顿，冷战后，世界格局的决定因素表现为七大或八大文明，即中华文明、日本文明、印度文明、伊斯兰文明、西方文明、东正教文明、拉美文明，还有可能存在的非洲文明。冷战后的世界，冲突的基本根源不再是意识形态，而是文化方面的差异，主宰全球的将是“文明的冲突”。国内电影刮痧作为2001年度国产电影精品，以热门的移民文化主题，传统的叙述手法，引发了国内外学界对跨文化主题的热烈讨论。电影中的部分情节，大多从行为规范，思维方式，

6、社会关系等角度，阐述了中美文化存在的差异。如思齐（2001）指出该片展示了中美文化关系的冲突。而张伯存（2002）则认为影片是在全球化背景下的西方理性主义与中国情感主义的冲突。许奋荣（2004）从价值观取向的定位角度强调了价值观念的差异对文化交际的影响，并从美籍华人的角度深入分析了其独特的价值的取向。马樱（2008）认为价值观是驱使人们行为的动力，从价值观角度，在人性观、人与自然的关系，人际关系、价值优先选择几方面，阐述电影刮痧中的中美文化差异及其渊源也很有意义。王丽娜（2009）阐述了不同文化背景下的人对于中西医、集体主义和个体主义以及流产问题的不同理解，分析了影片中矛盾冲突的根源。同时提出

7、在跨文化交际时应尊重彼此的文化，摒弃文化中心。还有一些学者则从文化选择或身份政治角度分析，如张江艺（2001）坚持认为对人权的文化差异造成人物文化冲突的。王进（2005）则着重探讨了人物身份政治和文化选择间的关系，为影片的文化身份阅读提供了一个全新的视角。有的从研究文化身份的角度分析，为如何使中美文化从冲突走向融合提供思考。(李冬燕，2006)有的从文化焦虑和文化策略的角度反映移民急于融入当地文化，被当地文化认同的焦虑心理提出解决的策略和方法。(徐秋明，2008) 裴文娟（2009）从认知语言学框架理论的角度去分析电影中的一系列文化矛盾和冲突，以期为读者提供一种新颖的分析视角。综上，历年来专家

13、的重要性。第二部分结合影片的背景，分析创作意图，先简要介绍刮痧这部电影，让读者从整体上对电影有所了解。然后选取片中几个典型的文化冲突的场景并作简要介绍。包括主人公们对面子的不同理解，对于孝和法的权衡。对于刮痧这一传统的中医疗法的误读。第三部分从影响文化交际的两个维度，价值取向和思维方式分析影片中产生的典型文化冲突。价值取向主要从人际交往中中国人的群体取向与美国人的个人取向差异。思维方式差异的角度主要探讨中国的伦理型思维与西方的认知型区别。中国人对问题的的整体性与美国人的分析型的区别。第四部分结合影片分析文化冲突的发展方向。一方面中美文化冲冲突不可避免，而且会日益显现。另一方面随着文化交流的不断

This article is an analysis on Sino-American cultural conflicts based

16、 on the film of Gua Sha/Treatment. The purpose of the paper is to strengthen the awareness of the cultural differences and decline the cultural misunderstanding and conflicts. The method used in this paper is known as comparison and contrast. Meanwhile the author has found that the Sino-American cul

17、tural conflicts have been mainly reflected in the understanding of Chinese “face”, the opposition between the law and kinship and the misunderstanding of Gua Sha. Moreover, the conflicts result from the distinguishing values orientations and modes of thinking. Therefore, it can be concluded that the

18、 both sides should take notice of the different values orientations and modes of thinking to decrease the conflicts and have a better understanding in the intercultural communication.Key words: The Gua Sha/ Treatment ; Sino-America ; Cultural conflicts;摘 要随着国际交流的日益加强，在跨文化交际中文化差异和文化冲突不可避免。本文通过对电影刮痧中体

19、现的中美文化冲突分析，以期能增强人们文化差异意识，减少不必要的误解与冲突。本文用到的最显著的方法是对比分析法，与此同时作者通过对比发现中美文化冲突主要表现在角色对“面子”的不同理解，主人公对于孝和法的权衡，以及角色对刮痧这一传统的中医疗法的误读。而带来文化冲突的原因则是价值取向的不同的和思维方式的不同。最后作者得出结论跨文化交际中，双方应当对的双方价值观和思维方式的差异引起重视，从而减少冲突达到更好的交流.关键词：刮痧；中美；文化冲突；ContentsIntroduction 1I. 22、has various definitions. For example, in 1952, American anthropologists Alfred Kroeber and Clyde Kluckhohn compiled a list of 164 definitions of “culture”. They thought culture consisted of patterns, explicit and implicit of and for behavior acquired and transmitted by symbols, constituting the dist

23、inctive achievements of human groups, including their embodiments in artifacts; the essential core of culture consisted of traditional ideas and especially their attached values(Alfred Kroeber and Clyde Kluckhohn,1952:47) Another famous British anthropologist E. B. Taylor (1871)submitted that cultur

24、e was a kind of complicated body, it included knowledge and belief, art, morals, law, custom, and the rest of ability and social school habits.One of the famous researchers in the field of cultural communication, Samoval said, “culture is the deposit of knowledge, experience, beliefs, values, attitu

25、des, meanings, hierarchies, religion, notions, of tie, roles, spatial relations, concept of the universe, material objects acquired by a group of people in the course of generations through individual and striving”( 1995: 47)Therefore, we can conclude that culture is everywhere. However, because of

26、the cultural differences between different countries or nations, it is inevitable to bring up cultural conflicts in the exchange of culture, so it is of importance to study the cultural conflicts.According to Yan Wenpei(2007: 4), cultural conflict was the sharp opposition and serious confrontation c

27、aused by cultural differences on the cultural values. It was the extremity of the cultural shock which derived from the enormous cultural differences between different cultures or countries. So if we dont understand these cultural differences, the inner reasons of misunderstanding, or trends of diff

28、erent cultures, the cultural conflicts will prevent effective communication and close association between different cultures and nations, and be not conducive to the common prosperity and development of human society.With the development of world economy and trade, the exchanges between Western and

29、Eastern civilization are increasingly frequent. In the process, that how to mitigate conflicts arising from cultural differences and how to convert from conflict to integration have become common social issues in the world today. The film is the carrier of culture, and a product of culture. The most

30、 basic nature of it is to reflect the construction of the meaning of life, to think and enrich history and culture through concrete life experiences and feelings of the people, present situation. Therefore, the movie as a media tool reflects peoples lives, records and reflects cultural clashes and i

31、ntegration of social reality, also increases the awareness of cultural exchange. The domestic films highlighting the cultural differences include the Joy Luck Club and Ang Lees Pushing Hands, Wedding Banquet, and Diet of Women and Men and so on. Compared with the films above, the film Gua Sha stimulates the sharper contradiction. As one of the domestic films boutique in 2001, the film Gua Sha triggered the heated discussions in the field at home and abroad and most of them were from the code of conduct, modes of thinking, social relations and so on to elaborate
