6、he files included in the various Lux deployments and their properties. Any changes to the setup scenarios, prerequisites (giblets), LifeCam files, etc. should be reflected in this document. Testers can use this document to validate the contents of all Lux deployments (including retail CD, OEM CD, we

7、b download, etc.)Lux DeploymentsThere are 5 different deployments for Lux: Retail CD, Web Download, OEM CD (a.k.a., ICEE), Test (Retail) CD, and RC (Retail) CD. The Retail CD is what we put in the box with our cameras, and contains the prerequisites as well as the initial setup files. The Web Downlo

8、ad is a self-extracting executable that we put on and whose contents are identical to the Retail CD. The OEM CD contains Retail CD files, but also contains the additional setup files that would normally be downloaded from the web by the initial setup. The Test CD and RC CD have an identical layout a

9、s the Retail CD, and the differences will be discussed below. Additionally, there is a separate deployment for the Firmware Updater.Language SupportFor all deployments, we support many languages. In these cases we will put the Language ID (LANGID) as part of the folder or file name. We indicate this

10、 by using . The valid LANGIDs are: 2052, 1031, 1034, 1036, 1040, 1028, 1032, 1033, 1041, 1042, 1046, 1049, and 2070. English (1033) is sometimes treated differently, and in those cases we will explicitly specify the English files.File PropertiesText and RTF files do not have any file properties of i

11、nterest. This includes .INF and any other files that only contain text. However, we do not always ship the Retail CD; instead we sometimes continue to ship the old Retail CD from a previous version. Since the Retail

14、CD only contains the initial setup files, we can force the old Retail CD to download the newer setup from the web.
