1、Category Overview ReportCategory Overview ReportThe Category Overview report is organized into the following sections: key performance indicators, activity area (level n), conveyor, entity, process, queue, resource, transporter, station, tank, and user specified. The reported statistics are summariz

2、ed across all replications.The information displayed in this report varies based on the number of replications executed and the type of statistic.Time-Persistent (DSTATS) and Tally statistics:For multiple replications, six values are displayed: Averagethe average of the replication averages, Half Wi

3、dth calculated across replications, Minimum Averagethe smallest average across all replications, Maximum Averagethe largest average across all replications, Minimum Valuethe smallest value observed across all replications, and Maximum Valuethe largest value observed across all replications.For a sin

6、 of the replication.Statistics for a particular module (for example, Entity, Resource, Station, etc.) are not necessarily generated by default. Instead, Arena allows you to choose which statistics you want to collect, write to the report database, and see in Crystal Reports. You specify that statist

7、ics should be collected for a particular module by selecting its Report Statistics option.Arena also allows you to easily turn off statistics for all modules of a particular type (for example, turn off statistics for all conveyors, all entities, or all resources). In the Run Setup Project Parameters

8、 page, there are checkboxes for collecting statistics on Entities, Resources, Queues, Processes, Conveyors, Transporters, Stations, or Activity Areas. When one of those prompts is checked, statistics will be reported for every module of that type that also has its individual Report Statistics proper

9、ty specified as Yes. If one of those prompts is not checked, statistics will not be reported for any module of that type, regardless of what is specified in the Report Statistics options of the individual modules.Many of the statistics in the different sections report costing information. These stat

10、istics are only collected and reported if the Costing prompt in the Run Setup Project Parameters page is also checked.The user specified section will only appear if additional statistics are collected by using the Record, Variable, or Statistic module.Each section in the Category Overview report is

11、discussed in further detail below:Key Performance IndicatorsThe Key Performance Indicators section is the very first section of the Category Overview report. Note that if you are using the Group Tree view to examine this report, this section is not displayed in the high level tree outline.The sectio

12、n is broken into three groups: All Entities, All Resources, and System. Listed below are the statistics reported for each group.All EntitiesNon-Value Added Cost: The average total non-value added cost incurred by all entities throughout the system. Does not include initial NVA Cost specified in the

13、Entity module.Other Cost: The average total other cost incurred by all entities throughout the system. Does not include initial Other Cost specified in the Entity module.Transfer Cost: The average total transfer cost incurred by all entities throughout the system. Does not include initial Transfer C

14、ost specified in the Entity module.Value Added Cost: The average total value added cost incurred by all entities throughout the system. Does not include initial VA Cost specified in the Entity module.Wait Cost: The average total wait cost incurred by all entities throughout the system. Does not incl

This cost equals the Total Cost of All Entities (which includes all resource busy and usage cost) added to the Idle Cost of All Resources.Activity Area (Level N)An

18、 activity area section is displayed for each organization level of activity areas defined in the model. For example, statistics for activity areas in organization level 100 are displayed under the section Activity Area (Level 100), statistics for activity areas in organization level 3 are displayed

This represents the total transfer time that was accrued by entities in station logic directly associated with the activity area as well as time rolled up from its child acti

32、 defined in the system.UsageBlocked: This section applies only to non-accumulating conveyors and provides the time that a conveyor is active and entities are conveying on it, but some entity has disengaged the conveyor (that is, an entity is undergoing an unloading delay).Length Accumulated: This section applies only to accumulating conveyors and provides the total length occupied by accumulated entities at all accumulation points on the conveyor.Utilization: This section reports the ratio of the total length of accumulated
