1、英语专业本科培养计划华中科技大学教务处翻译专业本科培养计划Undergraduate Program for Specialty in Translation and Interpreting一、培养目标Educational Objectives培养具有坚实的英汉语言基础、娴熟的翻译技能和扎实的政治、经济、文化、科技、外贸、金融、法律基础知识，能够胜任外事、商贸、文化、科技、新闻出版等部门一般性口笔译工作的复合型、应用型翻译人才。The four-year BA program enables students to demonstrate proficiency both in Engli

2、sh and Chinese and acquire translation skills. With basic knowledge of politics, economy, culture, science and technology, foreign trade, finance and law, students are expected to work as translator or interpreter in various fields including foreign affairs, commerce and trade, culture, news media,

3、science and technology.二、基本规格要求Skills Profile学生应具备良好的思想品德、文化素养、心理素质与合作精神；具有开阔的视野、丰富的百科知识和扎实的政治、经济、文化、科技、外贸、金融、法律基础知识；坚实的语言基础和较强的跨文化交际能力；掌握翻译学科的基础理论，具有较强的英汉语转换能力。With cultural and moral strength students are expected to possess good mental quality and team spirit. They are called upon to have broad v

4、ision and encyclopedic knowledge and acquire basic knowledge of politics, economy, culture, science and technology, foreign trade, finance and law. They will demonstrate proficiency in the two working languages as well as cross-cultural communication. They are introduced to the basic theory and prac
