Abstract:
Cultureisthesoulcarrierofhumanbeings,andit’sthecorevalueofonecountry.Differentcountrieshavedifferentcultures.Amongalltheelementsthatconsistanation’sculture,traditionalfestivalcultureisthemostessentialandrichestone.ThroughcomparingChineseSpringFestivalwithWesternChristmasDay,Double-SeventhDaywithValentines’Day,Mid-autumnFestivalwithThanksGivingDay,thisthesistriestofindoutandmakearoughanalysisonthesimilaritiesandculturaldifferencesbetweenChineseandWesterncountries,andaimstopromotecross-culturecommunication.
Thethesisconsistsoffourparts.ThefirstpartwouldfocusonthemainimportanttraditionalfestivalsbothinChinaandwesterncountries.Afterbriefintroductionintheformofcomparisontothemainfestivals,therewouldbeananalysisonthesimilaritiesanddifferencesoftraditionalChineseandwesternfestivalsinthesecondandthirdparts.AndthefourthpartwillbrieflyexplainthedevelopmenttrendofChineseandwesternfestivalculture.Inthelastpartofthethesis,therewouldbeabriefconclusion.

文化是人类灵魂的载体,是一个国家的核心价值。
不同的国家有不同的文化。
在所有的元素是一个国家的文化,传统的节日文化,是最重要的、最丰富的。
通过比较中国的春节同西方的圣诞节,Double-Seventh的日子,情人节、中秋节和感恩节,本文试图找到出去,把一个粗略的分析文化差异的异同点和中国和西方国家。
论文主要内容包括四部分组成。
第一部分的焦点是主要的传统节日,无论是在中国和西方国家。
简要介绍后的形式,主要节日相比,会有分析中国传统的异同与西方的节日中,在第二和第三部分。
第四部分的发展趋势进行了简要说明中国和西方国家的节日文化。
在最后一部分这篇论文中,会有一个简短的结论。

Introduction
Festivalisdefinedasaspecialoccasiononwhichpeoplemaygivethanksforaharvest,commemorateanhonoredpersonorevent,payrespecttothedead,orcelebrateaculture.Festivalisconsideredas“acarrierofculture”,oranembodimentofthepatternsofbehaviorandthinkingthatpeoplelearn,createandshare.Throughthisuniqueandspecificphenomenon,itismoreconvenientanddirectfortheresearchertoprobeintothedeeperlayerofhumanculture.Thefundamentalintentiontoresearchthetraditionalfestivalculturesbetweenthechinaandwesternistocarryforwardtheexcellenttraditionalcultureofthenation,andmeanwhiletousethecreamofwesterncultureforreferencetoprovidelessonsandguidanceforthemodernconstructionofadvancedculture
Ontheonehand,thereportaimstodiscoverthetraditionalvalueconceptanddeepculturepsychologybycomparingthedifferencesofthetraditionalfestivalculture.Itishelpfulforustodigthedeepconnotationoftraditionalfestivalandtorecognizeobjectivelyandsystematicallythenationalityandfeaturesoftraditionalfestivalculturebothinchinaandwesterncountries.Ontheotherhand,throughcomparingtheChinesetraditionalfestivalculturewithwestcountries,wecankeepthenationalityandfeaturesofChinesetraditionalfestivalcultureintheglobaltime,andcarryforwardthetraditionalcultureofChinesenation.

Thesetwoarethemostimportantfestivalsintheirownculturalsystems.TheSpringFestivalisthechiefholidayinChinawhileChristmasisthemostimportantred-letterdayinthewesternworld.Peopleattachgreatattentiontothecelebrationofthesetwofestivals.
TheSpringFestivalisthemostimportantfestivalfortheChinesepeopleanditisanoccasionforallfamilymemberstogettogether,justlikeChristmasintheWest.Allpeoplelivingawayfromhomegobacktoenjoythefamilyreunion.TheSpringFestivalfallsonthe1stdayofthe1stlunarmonth,oftenonemonthlaterthantheGregoriancalendar.Butstrictlyspeaking,theSpringFestivalstartseveryyearintheearlydaysofthe12thlunarmonthandwilllasttillthemid1stlunarmonthofthenextyear.Ofthem,themostimportantdaysareSpringFestivalEveandthefirstthreedays.
ManycustomsaccompanytheSpringFestival.Forexample:

Double-SeventhDay,alsoknownasMagpieFestival,fallsontheseventhdayoftheseventhlunarmonthontheChinesecalendar,thusitsname.Itisbasedonthestoryofthecowherdandtheweavergirlwhosetruelovemovedmagpies.
Younggirlstraditionallydemonstratetheirdomesticarts,especiallymeloncarving,onthisdayandmakewishesforagoodhusband.Itisalsoknownbythefollowingnames:
