TakingtheUKasawhole,whiletherewasonlyastatisticallysignificantimprovementinmaths,thecountrystillimproveditspositionrelativetoothercountriesacrossallthreeofthesubjectstestedbyPISA.Inreading,theUKwas14th,upfrom22ndthreeyearsago.InsciencetheUKwas14th,upfrom15th,andinmathstheUKroseto18thfrom27th.

Acrosstherestoftheleaguetables,EastAsiancountrieslikeChinaandSingaporecontinuedtobefarsuperior.Today’sresultsalsoshowedthatEstoniaoutperformedallthemajorEuropeaneconomies.
