   AnotherrelativelynewtoolcomesfromtheCoalitionforAccess,AffordabilityandSuccess,nowusedbymorethan110membercollegesanduniversities.Amongthegroup'sstatedgoalsaregettingstudentsengagedincollegeprepearlyandusingtechnologytocreateasupportiveapplicationprocessthatencouragesreflectionandself-discovery.

   Studentswhosignupforthefreeplatformgetaccesstoadigital“locker”,whichtheycanuseallthroughhighschooltosaveclasspapers,artwork,newspaperstories,videosandphotostosharewithcollegeswhentheyeventuallyapply.

   VIDEO—CHATINTERVIEWS

   Atsomeschools,aninterviewwithanadmissionofficerisanimportantpartoftheapplicationprocess.Tomakeiteasier,severalvirtualinterviewingtoolshavepoppedup,suchasavideo-basedplatformfromKira.Morethan140universitiesworldwideuseKira'svideoassessmenttooltoconductreal-timeinterviewswithprospectivestudents.Duringtheinterview,candidatesareshownthequestionsprerecordedbytheparticularschoolandmustrespondinrealtimebytalkingintothecameraontheirlaptoporphone.Inadditiontoshowingtheirability,tospeakfluentlyinEnglishandthinkontheirfeet,ithelpsadmissionofficersdeterminethe“motivation,commitmentanddrive”ofapplicants.
