1.Analyzethejobdescriptionforskillsandabilities–Readthroughjobdescriptionsfortheskillsandabilitiesthatemployersareseeking.Readthroughthedescriptionsandhighlighttherequiredskills,attributesandqualifications.Usethesewordsinyourresume.
2.Createalistofaccomplishments–Takesometimetothinkaboutyouraccomplishments:
thingsyoudidwell,enjoyeddoingandwereproudof.Includeeducation/training,volunteeropportunities,jobs,projects,schoolassignments,travelandgroup/teamactivities.Describeindetailwhatyoudid,whoyoudiditwith,whatequipmentyouusedandwhathappened.Quantifyyourresults,ifpossible,andusecommonlyunderstoodterminology.
