Amongstchildrenaged10to18,whohavegrownupwithnewtechnology,38%admittedfeelingoverwhelmedbythevolumeofmessages．Similarnumbersofadultsfeltthesameway,with34percentof25to34yearoldsagreeing．

JustineRoberts,founderofparentingwebsiteMumsnet,warned:

"Socialmediaissomethingwehavetokeepawatchonbecauseitcaneatintoyourlife．"
