ThissameprocessonEarthprovidesenergyforentireecosystemsaroundvolcanicvents（火山口）.There,tinycreaturesareabletosurvivewithoutsunlight,usinghydrogenandcarbondioxideasfuelinaprocessknownas“methanogenesis（甲烷生成）”.
