Afterresearchingthebestwaytouseplantleavesasfabric(纤维),andcomingupwithadesignfortheirdress,thefourstudentsstartedcollectingtheleaves.Somespeciesweregotatschool,butotherswerenot.TheyhadtotraveltoTianzhuMountaintocollectthem.

Tomakesurethatthecollectedleavesdidn’tgobad,thestudentsremovedtheflesh(叶肉)byboilingtheminakindofspecialwaterforabouttwohours.Thismadetheflesheasiertoremove,leavingonlythe“bone”oftheleaf,athinfilmwithalltheveins(叶脉)left.Thiswasmuchharderthanitsounds.Throughmanyexperiments,andwiththeirteacher’shelp,theywereabletocomeupwithagoodwaytosolvetheproblem.
