TheEnglishtestwillberemovedfromChina’scollegeentranceexamby2020,accordingtodetailsofexamandadmissionreformrevealedbytheMinistryofEducation.Thenationalcollegeentranceexam,knownasthe“Gaokao”hasbeenusedtoevaluateChinesestudentsforthreedecades.TheMinistryofEducationhasworkedoutaplanforreformingexamsandenrollment.TheMinistrywillsolicit(征求)publicopinionsbeforeitsrelease.Instead,testswillbeheldseveraltimesayeartoallowstudentstochoosewhenandhowoftentheysittheexamsoastoalleviatestudypressureandchangeChina’sonce-in-a-lifetimeexamsystem.
