一、词汇

名词
※知识清单
1、名词的分类:
2、可数名词复数的变化规则:
1)一般情况直接+s:
birds,eyes,cameras,faces等
2)以s,x,sh,ch,结尾的名词,加es:
bus→buses,box→boxes,watch→watches,dish→dishes等
3)以辅音字母加y结尾的名词,变y为i再加es,即y→ies:
family→families,baby→babies,party→parties等
4)以f(e)结尾的名词,f(e)→ves:
self→selves,thief→thieves,wolf→wolves,leaf→leaves等
5)以o结尾的常用词,通常加s:
photophotos,radioradios等
例外:
hero→heroes,tomato→tomatoes,potato→potatoes,Negro→Negroes
6)单复数同形:
deer,sheep,fish,aircraft,means,Japanese等
7)不规则变化:
child→children,man→men,woman→women,foot→feet,mouse→mice,tooth→teeth等
3、名词所有格:
所有格表示所有关系,修饰另一名词,作定语,它有两种形式:
一种是由名词词尾加’s构成,另一种是由介词of加名词构成,前者多用来表示有生命的东西,后者多用来表示无生命的东西。
例:
Teachers’Day,Tom’sfriend,Mary’sbook等
thelegofthetable,theleavesofthetree等
注:
若一样东西为两人共有,则旨在最后一个名词后加’s;若是分别所有,则两个名词后都要加’s:
TomandMary’sfather,Tom’sandMary’sfather
4、不可数名词量的表示
1)物质名词
a.当物质名词转化为个体名词时。
Cakeisakindoffood. 蛋糕是一种食物。
(不可数)
Thesecakesaresweet. 这些蛋糕很好吃。
(可数)
b.当物质名词表示该物质的种类时,名词可数。
Thisfactoryproducessteel. (不可数)
Weneedvarioussteels. (可数)
c.当物质名词表示份数时,可数。
Ourcountryisfamousfortea. 我国因茶叶而闻名。
Twoteas,please. 请来两杯茶。
2)抽象名词有时也可数。

物质名词和抽象名词可以借助单位词表一定的数量。

考点警示:
1)抽象名词具体化。
当不可数名词被赋予了具体含义后,可被看作是可数名词,一般与不定冠词连用,意为“一个(件、次)……的人或事”,这就是所谓的抽象名词具体化。
具体地说:
(1)有些不可数名词表示“某个人”或“某件事”时,可以与不定冠词连用。
success成功→asuccess一个成功的人或事
failure失败→afailure一个失败的人或事
surprise惊奇→asurprise一件惊奇的事
pleasure高兴→apleasure一件高兴的事
(2)有些不可数名词前不定冠词表示“一种,一阵,一场”等含义。
aheavyrain一场大雨
astrongwind一阵大风
aheavysnow一场大雪
2)有些不可数名词无论什么情况下也没有复数形式,即使受形容词修饰也不能加不定冠词,可称作“绝对不可数名词”。
如:
fun,housework,homework,advice,information,news,progress,equipment,furniture,luggage,jewelry,machinery等。
3)of+抽象名词。
如:
of+use/value/help/difference/importance等某些抽象名词,其含义相当于对应的形容词useful,valuable,helpful,different,important等,在句中可作定语、表语、补语等。
4)名词前的修饰语。
(1)several,(a)few,many,manya,agreat/goodmany,alargenumberof,scoresof,dozensof等只能修饰可数名词。
(2)abitof,(a)little,much,agreatdealof,alargeamountof等只能修饰不可数名词。
(3)some,any,plentyof,alotof,lotsof,alargequantityof,quantitiesof,massesof等既可修饰可数名词,也可修饰不可数名词。
5)一些名词的复数形式表示特殊的意义。
如:
papers文件,试卷;goods货物,商品;works著作;sands沙滩;greens青菜;times时代等。
6)有些名词在一定的短语中要用复数形式。
如:
takepains下功夫,makepreparations做准备,beinhighspirits情绪高涨,inrags衣衫褴褛,inruins废墟。
