TheappreliesoncurrentavailableinformationaboutthestreetsofJackson,alreadystoredinadatabaseofthecity’s311callsystem.Throughthecallsystem,citizensdial3-1-1toreportnon-emergencyproblemswhichincludepotholes.Chokweandhisfriendsdeterminedthatfocusingonthe10busieststreetsinJacksonwouldgivethemalargeenoughsamplesizetotesttheprototype.

Whiledevelopingtheapp,theboystookpartinaMinorityMaleMakersProgramsponsoredbyVerizonandheldatJacksonStateUniversity.Theylearned3Dprintinganddesign,andhowtocreateapps.ThroughtheprogramChokweandhisfriendsreceivedencouragementandguidance.

Althoughtheappisn’tyetavailableforsale,Chokweisalreadylookingforwaystoimprovetheapp.Hehopestoaddmoretoituntilitspreadsalloverthecountry.
