SUCTIONNOZZLEFORAVACUUMCLEANER,COMPRISINGADUSTFLOWDISPLAYDEVICE
Abstract
Asuctionnozzleforavacuumcleanerthatcanbeconnectedtoasuctionpipeand/orasuctiontubeofthevacuumcleanerincludesanozzlepart(吸盘部分)thatcanbeconnectedtothesuctionpipeorthesuctiontubebymeansofatubularconnectionpart.Adustsensorisarrangedintheflowpathofthevacuumcleaner,thesignalsthereofbeingevaluatedbyabattery-operatedelectroniccontroldevicethatcanbeactivatedbyaLow-pressureswitch.Duringoperation,saidcontroldevicecontrolsadisplaydevicedisplayingthedustflow.Thecontroldevice,thelow-pressureswitch,thedisplayelementsdisplayingthedustflow,andabatterycompartmentforreceivingthebatteriesarearrangedinahousingformedontheuppersideofthetubularconnectionpart.Thedustsensorisarrangedbeneaththehousing,insidetheupperregionoftheconnectionpart,inthedustairstream.
FIELDOFTHEINVENTION
Thepresentinventionrelatestoasuctionnozzleforavacuumcleaner,saidsuctionnozzlebeingconnectabletoasuctionwandand/ortoasuctionhoseofthevacuumcleaner,thesuctionnozzlehavinganozzlepartwhichisprovidedwithasuctionmouthandisconnectabletothesuctionwandortothesuctionhoseofthevacuumcleanerviaatubularconnectionpart,thesuctionnozzleincludingadust-flowsensorwhichisdisposedintheflowpathofthevacuumcleanerandwhosesignalsareanalyzedbyanelectroniccontroldevice,and,duringoperation,thecontroldevicecontrollinganindicatingdevicewhichindicatesthedustflow.
BACKGROUND
Forquitesometime,therehasbeenadesiretoprovidevacuumcleanerswithameasuringandindicatingdevicethatallowstheusertoassesshowthelevelofcleanlinessofthesurfacetobetreatedvariesduringthevacuumcleaningprocess.Infact,itwouldbeofgreathelptotheoperatorifheorshecouldseefromanindicatingdevicethat,afteracertainvacuumcleaningtime,thereremainshardlyanydust-ladenairbeingconveyedthroughtheflow-conveyingsystemofthevacuumcleaner,sothatthevacuumcleaningprocessisnotunnecessarilyprolonged.Toremedythis,anumberofproposalshavebeenmadeinthepatentliterature,buttheseproposalshavenotyetledtoanyimplementationthatwouldberelevantinpractice.
Forexample,itisknownfromEuropeanpublicationEP0231419A1toprovideanindicatingandcontroldeviceintheformofanattachmentoraccessoryforavacuumcleaner,saidindicatingandcontroldevicebeinginstallableintheflow-conveyingsystemofthevacuumcleaner.Thisindicatingandcontroldeviceshouldbeactivatablebyalow-pressureswitchandoperatewithopticaldust-detectingmeans.Itwasalsoproposedtomountthisunitonthevacuumcleaneroritsparts(suctionbrush,suctionwand,handle,suctionhose)atapositionadjacenttothesuctionregionofthevacuumcleaner.Thatpriorpublicationdoesnotincludeanyspecificinformationonhowandwheretoinstallthesensorwhichisattheheartofsuchasystem.Thereisnoknownpracticalimplementationbasedonthisdesignapproach.
Apracticalembodimentinwhichthedust-flowsensingandindicatingdeviceismountedinasuctionnozzleisdescribedinDE9311014U1andDE20207071U1,respectively.Bothdesignapproacheshaveincommonthatthesensingandindicatingdeviceislocatedinthebottompartofthesuctionnozzle.
InDE9311014U1,aremovablesub-housingisprovidedabovethebottompartofthesuctionnozzletoaccommodatethesensorandtheindicatingelements.Thesensorisformedbyopticaldust-detectingmeansprovidedintheinletductorintheinletregionofthebottompartofthesuctionnozzle.Thefloornozzledepictedinthatpriorpublicationillustratesthedrawbacksofthisembodimentparticularlywell.Sincetheadditionalelements(sensor,battery-operatedcontroldevice,andindicatingdevices)areaccommodateddirectlyinthebottompartofthesuctionnozzle,thesizeofthebottomparisinevitablyincreased.Therefore,itisnolongerpossibletomovesuchasuctionnozzleintothenarrowfreespacesunderfurniture.Moreover,incaseswherethebottompartofthesuctionnozzledoesdisappearunderapieceoffurniture,theindicatingdeviceisnolongervisible.Furthermore,thebottompartofthesuctionnozzle,inparticular,isinevitablyexposedtostrongshocks.Thismayeasilyleadtofailuresofthecontrolelectronicslocatedinthebottompartandofthesometimesfragilesensorelements.
Thesearecertainlythecrucialreasonswhy,uptothepresenttime,nosuctionnozzlehavinganindicatingandsensingdevicemounteddirectlyinthebottompartofthesuctionnozzlecouldbeestablishedinthemarkettoanappreciableextent.
Alldesignapproachesdescribedabovearebasedonprovidingasensorintheformofanopticaldust-detectingmeanswhich,forsystem-inherentreasonsalone,hascertaindraw-backs.Itisnotveryeasytoprovideanopticalmeasurementsectionintheconfinedmountingspaceintheflowchannelsoftheair-conveyingsystemofavacuumcleaner.Moreover,anopticalmeasuringsystemisnotsufficientlyreliableandaccurateforcertainpurposes.Aparticulardisadvantageofopticalsystemsisthat,inadditiontotheactualdust,theyalsorespondtocarpetfibersresultingfromwearandtearofacarpet,butdonotallowanyconclusionsaboutthelevelofcleanliness.
Incontrast,adesignapproachdescribedinEP0759157B1isparticularlyadvantageousinthatitusesapiezoelectricsensordevicewhichallowsevenminutedustparticlestobereliablydetectedwithoutthesignalbeingaffectedsomuch,forexample,bycarpetfibers.Theembodimentdescribedinthatpatentproposesforthepiezoelectricsensortobemountedintheinlettubeorinaninletconnectorofthevacuumcleaner.Whenthedustparticlespresentintheair-flowpathhitthepiezoelectricsensortheytransferpartoftheirenergytothesensor,thepiezoelectricsensorconvertingthekineticenergyintoacorrespondingelectricalsignal(piezoelectricvoltage).Thatpriorpublicationdoesindeeddescribethephysicalsensorsystemandtheelectroniccontrolsystemindetail,butitdoesnotprovideanydetailsonwhereandhowtoinstalltheindividualelements-sensor,controlelectronics,indicatingdeviceand,possibly,abatteryprovidedforpowersupply.
SUMMARYOFTHEINVENTION
Itisanobjectofthepresentinventionthatasensingandindicatingdevicebeaccommodatedintheair-flowpathofthevacuumcleanerinsuchamannerthatthecomponentsinvolvedintheoverallsystemareinstalledinaspace-savingandergonomicallyfavorablemanner.Afurtheroralternateobjectistofindaninstallationlocationforthesensor,which
hasfavorableflowcharacteristicsandensurestrouble-freeandreliableoperation.
Thepresentinventionprovidesasuctionnozzleforavacuumcleaner,saidsuctionnozzlebeingconnectabletoasuctionwandand/ortoasuctionhoseofthevacuumcleaner,thesuctionnozzlehavinganozzlepartwhichisprovidedwithasuctionmouthandisconnectabletothesuctionwandortothesuctionhoseofthevacuumcleanerviaatubularconnectionpart,thesuctionnozzleincludingadustsensorwhichisdisposedintheflowpathofthevacuumcleanerandwhichislocatedinthedust-airstreaminsidetheupwardportionoftheconnectionpartandwhosesignalsareanalyzedbyanelectroniccontroldevice,duringoperation,thecontroldevicecontrollinganindicatingdevicewhichindicatesthedustflow,theindicatingelementsindicatingthedustflowbeingdisposedinahousingorreceivingchamberformedontheuppersideofthetubularconnectionpart,whereinthedustsensorisinsertableunderneaththehousingthroughanopeningformedontheuppersideoftheconnectionpartandprotrudesintothedust-airstreamneartheupperwallareaoftheconnectionpart.Advantageousembodimentsandrefinementsofthepresentinventionwillbecomeapparentfromtheclaims(权利要求书).Thepresentinventionalsoprovidesanaccessoryorretrofitsolutionintheformofaseparateconnectionpart,whichcanbeconnected,asanindependentpart,directlytoafloornozzleofthevacuumcleaner.
Thepresentinventionprovidessignificantadvantages.Itwasfoundthatespeciallytheupwardlydirectedconnectionpartofthesuctionnozzlesisparticularlysuitableforaccommodatingthesensor,controlandindicatingsystem.
Nevertheless,thebottompartorthesuctionmouthpartofthesuctionnozzlecanstillbeofflatconstruction.Inaddition,byforminganattachablehousingontheuppersideoftheconnectionpartortheupwardconnectormember,allcomponentscanbeaccommodatedinamannerwhichisergonomicallyfavorableandcompatiblewithstylingrequirements.Thebatterycompartment,forexample,iseasilyaccessible,andthebatteriesareveryeasytoreplace.Moreover,theindicatingelements,whichindicatetheconditionofthesuctionairstreaminthegenerallyknownmannerbymeansofindicatingLED’s,canbeinstalledsuchthattheyareeasilyrisibletotheuser.Thisdisplaywindowisalwaysinthedirectlineofsightoftheuser,becauseduringvacuumcleaning,heorsheisalwayslookingalongthesuctionwandtowardthesuctionnozzlearea.
Another,particularlyessentialfeaturesarethatthepiezoelectricsensor(压电传感器)ismountedonthelowersideoftheupperwalloftheconnectionpart.Thisdecisivelycontributestothespecialmethodofoperationofthesystem.Whenheavypartsandparticlesarestillpresentinthesuctionairstream,theseareconveyedbythedust-airstreamgenerallybeneaththesensorandintothecollectingchambersystemofthevacuumcleaner.T
