　　Thepetitionssoonstartedtoflowin.TheideawasfortheBritishpeopletoexpresstheirconstructiveideas.Manychoseinsteadtoexpresstheirsenseofhumor.

　　OnepetitionercalledonTonyBlairto“stoptheDeputyPrimeMinistereatingsomuch”.Anotherwantedtoexpel（驱逐）ScotlandfromtheUnitedKingdombecauseScottishfootballfansneversupportEnglandintheWorldCup.

　　OtherpetitionerscalledonthePrimeMinistertoabolishthemonarchy.Somewantedtogiveitmorepower.SomewantedtoopposetheUnitedStates.OtherswantedtoleavetheEuropeanUnion.SomewantedtosendmoretroopstoIraqandotherswantedthemallbroughthome.Somewantedtoadopttheeuro（欧元）.Otherswantedtokeepthepound.

　　Thereareabout60millionpeopleinBritain,soitisunderstandablethatthegovernmentwantstofindoutwhatpeoplearethinking.Buttheproblemwiththee-petitionsiteseemstobethattheBritishpeoplehaveabout70millionopinions,andwantthePrimeMinistertohearallofthem.Perhapshecouldstartapetitionaskingeveryonetojustshutupforawhile.
