演讲全文（中英双语）

　　EversinceIfirststeppedthroughthedoorbehindmeasPrimeMinister,IhavestriventomaketheUnitedKingdomacountrythatworksnotjustforaprivilegedfew,butforeveryone.

　　自从我第一次作为首相跨进身后这扇门，我就一直致力于使英国成为一个不仅为少数特权阶层服务，而是为每个民众服务的国家。

　　AndtohonourtheresultoftheEUreferendum.

　　同时，我也尊重脱欧公投的结果并予以落实。

　　Backin2016,wegavetheBritishpeopleachoice.Againstallpredictions,theBritishpeoplevotedtoleavetheEuropeanUnion.

　　2016年，我们把选择权交给了英国民众。

尽管结果出人意料，但英国人民投票决定脱离欧盟。

　　IfeelascertaintodayasIdidthreeyearsagothatinademocracy,ifyougivepeopleachoiceyouhaveadutytoimplementwhattheydecide.

　　今天我和三年前一样确信，在一个民主国家，如果你给民众一个选择的机会，你就有责任落实他们的决定。

　　Ihavedonemybesttodothat.

　　FormanyyearsthegreathumanitarianSirNicholasWinton-whosavedthelivesofhundredsofchildrenbyarrangingtheirevacuationfromNazi-occupiedCzechoslovakiathroughtheKindertransport-wasmyconstituentinMaidenhead.

　　Aswestrivetofindthecompromisesweneedinourpolitics-whethertodeliverBrexit,ortorestoredevolvedgovernmentinNorthernIreland-wemustrememberwhatbroughtushere.

BecausethereferendumwasnotjustacalltoleavetheEUbutforprofoundchangeinourcountry.AcalltomaketheUnitedKingdomacountrythattrulyworksforeveryone.Iamproudoftheprogresswehavemadeoverthelastthreeyears.

thedeficitisalmosteliminated,ournationaldebtisfallingandwearebringinganendtoausterity.

　　我们已经完成了大卫·卡梅伦和乔治·奥斯本的未完之业：

财政赤字几乎已消除，我们的国债正在下降，紧缩政策也即将结束。

　　Myfocushasbeenonensuringthatthegoodjobsofthefuturewillbecreatedincommunitiesacrossthewholecountry,notjustinLondonandtheSouthEast,throughourModernIndustrialStrategy.

　　Wehavehelpedmorepeoplethaneverenjoythesecurityofajob.

　　Wearebuildingmorehomesandhelpingfirst-timebuyersontothehousingladder—soyoungpeoplecanenjoytheopportunitiestheirparentsdid.

　　Andweareprotectingtheenvironment,eliminatingplasticwaste,tacklingclimatechangeandimprovingairquality.

　　我们正在保护环境，消除塑料垃圾，应对气候变化，改善空气质量。

　　Thisiswhatadecent,moderateandpatrioticConservativeGovernment,onthecommongroundofBritishpolitics,canachieve-evenaswetacklethebiggestpeacetimechallengeanygovernmenthasfaced.

　　这就是一个称职、温和、爱国的保守党政府，在求同存异的基础上能够取得的成就——即使我们正在应对和平时期任何政府都不曾面临过的高难度挑战。

　　IknowthattheConservativePartycanrenewitselfintheyearsahead.

　　我相信保守党可以在今后的岁月里重整旗鼓。

　　ThatwecandeliverBrexitandservetheBritishpeoplewithpoliciesinspiredbyourvalues.

　　我们可以完成脱欧重任，服务于英国人民，落实我们的政治价值观。

　　Security;freedom;opportunity.Thosevalueshaveguidedmethroughoutmycareer.

　　保卫国家安全、保障公民自由、创造就业机会，这些价值观贯穿了我整个执政生涯。

　　Buttheuniqueprivilegeofthisofficeistousethisplatformtogiveavoicetothevoiceless,tofighttheburninginjusticesthatstillscaroursociety.

　　但是执政的第一要义，仍然是借助政治平台，替弱势者发声，与仍然伤及我们社会的不公正作斗争。

　　ThatiswhyIputproperfundingformentalhealthattheheartofourNHSlong-termplan.

　　这就是我把心理健康资助置于医疗体系长期计划核心地位的原因。

　　ItiswhyIamendingthepostcodelotteryforsurvivorsofdomesticabuse.

　　这也是我取消家暴受害者分区医疗政策的原因。

　　ItiswhytheRaceDisparityAuditandgenderpayreportingareshiningalightoninequality,soithasnowheretohide.

　　这也是为什么种族差异审计和性别工资报告，能够揭露不平等现象，让不公无处可藏。

　　AndthatiswhyIsetuptheindependentpublicinquiryintothetragedyatGrenfellTower-tosearchforthetruth,sonothinglikeitcaneverhappenagain,andsothepeoplewholosttheirlivesthatnightareneverforgotten.

　　Ourpoliticsmaybeunderstrain,butthereissomuchthatisgoodaboutthiscountry.Somuchtobeproudof.Somuchtobeoptimisticabout.

　　虽然我们的政策推行面临重重压力，但我们的国家依然美好，仍有许多我们值得为之骄傲，值得乐观期待之事。

　　Iwillshortlyleavethejobthatithasbeenthehonourofmylifetohold-thesecondfemalePrimeMinisterbutcertainlynotthelast.

　　我即将离任，这段经历是我毕生的荣幸——我是英国第二位女首相，但肯定不是最后一位。

　　Idosowithnoill-will,butwithenormousandenduringgratitudetohavehadtheopportunitytoservethecountryIlove.
