ChapterVIII

Qualityandsafetyofengineeringconstruction

1.Constructionqualityofearthfoundation

1.1Generalrules

GBJ202-83

1.0.3Whenengineeringconstructionworkforearthbaseandfoundationisadjacenttoexistingconstructionorstructuralitems,thefollowingshallbeobserved:

I.Beforestartingconstructionwork,detailsoftheoriginalstructureofexistingbuildingsorstructuralitemsshallbeinformedof.

II.Constructionworkforearthbaseandfoundation,ifaffectsuseandsafetyofadjacentbuildingsorstructuralitems,effectivemeasuresshallbetakentogetherwithinstitutionconcerned.

1.0.4Category,sizestandardnumberandconcentrationofmaterialsandmanufacturedproductsshallmeetdesigningrequirements.

1.0.7Duringconstructionofearthbaseandfoundation,hiddenitemsshallbeinspectedandacceptedinintermittence,onlyafterqualifiedcanthenextprocedurebecontinued.Afterfinished,itshallbeacceptedbyinspection.

1.08Earthbaseandfoundationconstructioninwintershallmeetthefollowingrules:

I.Iceandsnowatsitewaysandconstructionplaceshallbecleanedaway.

II.Frozensoilthataffectsconstructionworkshallbedugoutandremoved;freezingpreventionmeasuresshallbetaken.

III.Frozenmaterialsareprohibitedtouse.

1.2Soilwithspecialproperties

5.1.1Constructionofbuildingsandtheirattachedprojectsshallbeinareasonablesequenceaccordingtospecificcharacteristicsanddesigningrequirementsofwet-pitfallloesstopreventconstructionusedwaterandrainwaterflowintotheearthfoundation,whichleadstowet-pitfall.

5.4.5Whencrackofbuildingduetowet-pitfalloffoundationisfound,constructionworkshallstoptemporarily,shutoffwatersourceconcerned,findoutcauseandrangeofwatersubmergingandobservesinkandcrackingoftheconstruction,drawandrecord;continueconstructionworkaftertheproblemhasbeentreated.

4.1.3Waterforconstructionshallbemanagedperfectlytopreventleakageofpipingnetwork.Distancebetweenoutsidewallofbuildingandtemporarywaterpool,materialwashingsite,ashcleaningpool,flood-preventingditches,agitatingstationshallnotlessthan10m.Temporarylivingfacilitiesshallbemorethan15mawayfrombuildings.Waterdisplacingfacilitiesshallbeprovidedperfectlytopreventconstructionusewaterfromflowingintofoundationpit(ditch).

4.2.2Sunlight-exposureandwatersubmergeareprohibitedduringconstruction.Inrainyseason,preventionforwaterfloodingshouldbeperformed.

1.3Pilingfoundation

6.1.3Pilepreparingmachinesmustbequalifiedbyappraisal,otherwiseisnotallowedtouse.

6.1.6Controlpointoffoundationpileaxisandbenchmarkpointsshallbesetupatplacewhereconstructionworkdoesnotaffects.Thesepointsshallberepeatedlycheckedandthenprotectedcarefullyandrecheckedfromtimetotimeduringconstructionwork.

6.2.3Whenhole-preparingequipmentislocatedtoposition,itmustbelevel,stable,andfirmtoguaranteethatnoinclination,motionshalloccur.Tocontrolholedepthpreciously,scaleforcontrollingholedepthshallbeequippedonthepilingshelforpilepipesoastoobserveandrecord.

6.2.13Manualdiggingholepilingworkshalltakethefollowingsafetymeasures:

6.2.13.1Emergentsoftladdershallbeequippedintheholeforworkerstogodownandcomeup.Electriclifterandliftingcagesmustbesafeandreliableandwithautomaticlockingdevice.Workersarenotallowedtogodownorcomeupbylinenornylonropes,neitherbyclimbingthewellwall.Electricliftershallbeinspectedforitsliftingcapabilitybeforeitisused.

6.2.13.2Hazardgasesinthewell,ifany,mustbeexaminedbeforeworkeverydayandmustprovidesufficientsafetyprotectionmeasure.Whendiggingdepthisbeyond10m,Specialdeviceforventilationinwellshallbeprovided.

6.2.13.3Protectionhandrailsshallbesetuparoundthepitopening,ofwhichtheheightisusually0.8m.

6.2.13.4Stoneandsoildugoutshallberemovedfarawayfromthepitopening.Itisnotallowedtopilestoneandsoilwithin1meteraroundthepit.Vehicletransportationmustnotaffectsafetyofwellwall.

6.2.13.5Installationanddismantlinganyelectricpower,wiresatconstructionsitemustbeperformedbylicensedelectricians.Electricdevicesmustbeearthgroundedorconnectedtozerovoltagepointandequippedwithbreakersforelectricleakage.Protection.Electricdevicesmustusebreakersorknife-switchesindividuallyandoneswitchforseveraldevicesisseriouslyprohibited.Cablesoverthepitshallbemorethan2.moverheadandlyingongroundorburyingundergroundareprohibitedeither.Protectionmeasuresasabrasive-proof,humid-proof,breaking-proofshallbetakenforelectricwire.Safetymininglampsorsafetylampswithvoltagebellow12Vshallbeusedforillumination.

6.3.18Reinforcingsteelbarcage,whenfinishedlifting,shallbeinspectedforacceptanceashiddenitems,afterqualified,concretesludgeshallbepouredimmediately.

7.2.1Onlywhenthepre-castpilesreach70%ofdesignedstrengthcantheybelifted,andafterreach100%fortransportation.

7.4.1Overheadandundergroundobstaclesmustberemovedbeforesinkingthepiles,whenthesitemustbeflatandtidyandwaterdisplacementfluentlygroundsurfaceloadbearingcapabilitysatisfactory,

9.1.4Forengineeringconstructionofclass1constructionpilingfoundationorpilingfoundationconstructionworkwhosegeologicalconditionbeingcomplicatedorreliabilityratherlow,qualityofpilepreparationshallbetestedandmeasured.Dataformeasurementshallbedeterminedindesigningaccordingtoactualcircumstance.

1.4Supporting-protectingfoundationpit

3.7.1Planfordiggingfoundationpitshallperformedaccordingtodesignofsupport-protectingstructureandrequirementofwaterdisplacement.

3.7.2Waterditchesshallbeequippedaroundthepitongroundandleakageandpenetrationtopitshallbeavoided;Whenthepitisdugwithslopeloweringanddisplacingwaterdevicesshallbearrangedatslopetop,slopesurfaceandslopefoot.

3.7.3Overloadaroundthefoundationpitisseriouslyprohibited.

3.7.4Foundationpitwithsoftsoilmustbedugforlayersevenly.

3.7.5Duringdiggingfoundationpit,measureshallbetakentopreventthesupporting-protectingstructure,engineeringpilesfrombeingknockedorshocked,neithertodisturbtheoriginalstatusofsoilinthepitbottom.

3.7.6Whenabnormalcircumstanceoccurs,stopdigging,findoutthecauseandtakemeasures,immediately,onlyafterthesemeasurestakencancontinuedigging.

4.7.4Constructionforsupportingsystemshallmeetthefollowingrequirements:

1.Sequenceforinstallationandremovingofsupportingstructureshouldbecorrespondingtotheoperationconditionwhendesigningthefoundationpitsupportingstructure.Theprinciplethatfirstsupportingandthendiggingmustbeobserved.

2.Atlocationswheretheverticalcolumngoesthroughthebottomplateofmainstructureandwherethesupportingstructuregoesthroughthebasementexternalwallofthemainstructureshallbeofawater-preventionstructure.

3.Connectionbetweentopheadofsteelsupportandcapbeamorwaistbeamshallmeetthefollowingrules:

Steelplatewiththicknessnolessthan10mmshallbesetupatthetopheadofsteelsupportashead-sealingplate,whichshallbefullyweldedtothesupportingrodwithweldingseamthicknessandlengththatarecapableforallsupportingloadorstress.Ifnecessaryreinforcingribplateshallbeadded,ofwhichthequantityandsizeshallmeettherequirementofstabilityoflocalsupportingtopendandrequirementoftransferringsupportingstress.

4.Pre-pressingforsteelsupportingmembershallmeetthefollowingrequirement:

1)Aftersupportingisinstalled,circumstanceofconnectionbetweenjointnodesshallbeinspectedintime,onlyitisconfirmedmeetingtherequirementcanpre-pressingoperationstarts.Addingpre-pressureshallbedoneuponbothendsofthesupportsymmetrically.

2)Pre-pressingstressshallbeactedinstepsandrepeatedly.Whenitreachesthedesignedvalue,jointnodesshallbecheckedagainandreinforcedifnecessary.Thepre-pressingmechanismshallbelockedafterpressurebecomesstable.

7.3.2Sectionlengthofarchwallthatisconstructedalonghorizontaldirectionshallnotbelongerthan12m,itshallnotbelongerthan8mwhengoesthroughsiftandweaksoillayerorsandlayer.

1.5Treatmentofearthfoundation

3.4.2Beddingcoarseshallbeinspectedforqualityinlayers.Wheneachlayerisrammedtodense,averagepressing-densecoefficientshallbeinspected,onlywhenitisqualifiedcanthenextlayerbelaidon.

3.4.4Qualityinspectionforheavy-hammering,inadditiontoconstructionworkrecordthatshallbecheckedaccordingtotestramming,thetotalrammingdownamountshallnotbesmallerthan90%ofamountintestingramming.

4.4.1Forimportantengineeringprojectforanti-slipperycontrol,preservedholesshallbeselectedatplacesthatcanrepresenttheconditioninthepre-pressingarea.Anti-shearingstrengthtestwithcrossplateandlaboratorysoiltestshallbeperformedatdifferentdepthduringdifferentstagesofloading.

4.4.2Relationcurvedlinessuchasdeformatio
