We'reusinganewtextbookandMsShen'smethodof

teachingisnothinglikethatoftheteachersatmy

JuniorHighschool.Shethinksthatreadingcomprehension

isimportant,butwespeakalotinlass,too.Andwehave

fun.

Idon'tthinkIwillbeboredinMsShen'sclass!

Todayweintroducedourselvestoeachother.Wedidthis

ingroups.

Somestudentswereembarrassedatfirst,buteveryonewas

veryfriendlyanditwasreallynice.

handwriting.

Wedothisinafunway,withspellinggamesandother

activities.

Ilikeherattitudeverymuch,andthebehaviourofthe

otherstudentsshowsthattheylikeher,too.

previousclassinJuniorHigh.Forty-nineofthemare

girls.Inotherwords,therearethreetimesasmanygirls

asboys.

Theysaythatgirlsareusuallymorehard-workingthan

我在高中的第一天

我叫李康。

我住在离北京不远的石家庄市。

它是河北省的省会。

今天是我上高中的第一天，我正在写我今天的一些感受。

我的新学校很不错，我知道其原因所在：

老师们非常热情、友好，教室令人惊喜。

每间教室都有一台配特殊屏幕的电脑，其屏幕几乎跟电影院的一

样大。

老师在电脑前写，所写的字就出现在他们身后的屏幕上。

屏幕还可以展示图片，文章和网站上的信息。

真是太棒了！

英语课真是太有趣了。

老师是一位很热心的姓沈的女老师。

我们用的是新教材，沈老师的教学方法和初中老师的完全不一样

。

她认为阅读理解很重要，但我们在课堂上说得也很多。

上课大家

都觉得很快乐。

我想在沈老师的课上我是不会感到厌倦的。

今天我们以分组的形式相互做了自我介绍。

一些学生起初很不好意思，不过大家都很友善，这样做感觉真好

！

沈老师给我们一些指导，然后我们就自己操练起来。

沈老师想帮助我们提高我们的拼写和书写。

我们用有趣的拼写游戏加上其他的活动来做。

我很喜欢她的态度，而且其他同学的言行举止表明他们也喜欢她

。

我班有65名学生--比我以前初中的班级人数多。

其中49人是女生。

换句话说，女生人数是男生的3倍。

据说女生通常比男生更勤奋，但在我们班，人人都很勤奋。

至于我们今晚的作业，我们得写一篇描写我们住的街道情况的文

章。

我正盼着去做呢！

人们常说第一印象很重要。

李老师给我留下的第一印象是既紧

张又胆怯。

我想，可能她就是这样，因为这是她给我们上的第

一节课。

但是，过了两周了，全班学生真的喜欢上她的课。

她

非常和蔼，又有耐心，英语语法解释得如此清楚，连我都能够明

白！

她避免让人感到愚笨！

讲英语时，我总是憎恶出错或者是憎

恶发音不正确，但是，李老师只是笑一笑，因此，你不会感到完

全愚笨！

我想可能对于好学生来说她的课进行得有点慢，但对

我来说，真是太棒了！

我觉得我跟着她学习肯定将取得进步。

我猜想陈老师几乎快60岁了。

她很严格――――除非她让我们

讲话，我们一句话也不敢说。

她还很严肃，很少微笑。

当她要

求你做某事时，你就马上去做！

陈老师的课，我们班几位不断

迟到的学生，总是准时上陈老师的课。

我们班有的同学不喜欢

她，但大多数同学都很欣赏她，因为她的课讲得很清楚、教学组

织得又好。

一些学生甚至承认喜欢她！

在做科学实验时，她对

发生的现象解释得很准确，因此，我在实验方面在取得进步。

理绝对不是我最喜欢的科目，但我想由陈老师教我，我会考出好

成绩。

吴老师仅仅教过我们两个礼拜，他已经很受欢迎了。

我的首次火车之旅

为什么火车叫阿富汗号？

很久以前,澳大利

亚人到国家中部地区有很长一段路程。

他们试着骑马,但那些马

不喜欢炎热的天气和沙漠。

一百五十年前,他们从阿富汗带入

了一些骆驼。

Ghan是阿富汗的缩写。

作长途旅行,骆驼比马匹强

多了。

多年来,经过训练的骆驼驮运食物及其他用品,返回

时还带着羊毛和其他产品。

直到二十世纪二十年代,阿富汗人和

他们的骆驼还在做着这样的工作。

那时政府建了一条新的铁路线

所以阿富汗人不再需要骆驼了在1925年,他们通过了法律,如果

它们引发问题，允许人们射杀骆驼。
