VolunteeringIsFun

OneafternoonIwassittingathomefeelingsobored.Insteadoffeelingsorryformyself,IwantedtomeetpeopleandhavenewexperiencessoIdecidedtostartvolunteering.IsearchedonmycomputerandfoundawebsitewhereIcouldvolunteeronafarminFrance.

Mytimeworkingonafarmwasanewexperienceforme.Itwasbasicallyafreeholidayasfoodandaccommodationwereprovided.However,itwasnotyourtypicalholidayasIhadtolookafterfifteenhorsesandsleepatthetopofatowerinacastle!

IwasanawfulfarmerbutitdidnotmatterbecauseImadesomegreatfriends.

However,youdonotneedtogoabroadtovolunteer.Ihavehadplentyofadventuresathomeasvolunteeringcanbecomeahobby.Forexample,IlovesingingsoIhadagoodlaughwavingmyarmsinanattempttoconductmylocalchoir.Ididslowlyimproveanditfeltgreattoconductthechoirinaconcert.Atuniversity,Iorganisedaconcertforcharitywithmyfriends.Itwasreallyfunfindingbandsandraisingmoneyforacausewebelievein.

Itistruethatyoufeelgoodvolunteeringbuttherearealsootheradvantages.Ioncevolunteeredasaserveratacharitysportseventwheretheorganizersgavemecupcakestothankmeformyservices.IalsovolunteeredinacharityshopsoIfoundloadsofnicecheapclothestoupdatemywardrobe(衣柜).

Whilethisisallfun,myfavouriteaspectofvolunteeringiscreatingandsharingstories.Myterribleattemptsatfarminghavegivenmehilariousstoriestotell!
