Throwingcautiontothewind,Ibeganontheendeavour.First,Ichoseanewcolourschemefortheentirehouse.Thiswasthebestpartofmyproject,becausecolouriswhatgivesanyhouseabasisfordecoration.ThecoloursthatIchoseweremuchdifferentfromtheoldgreensandbluesthatIusedtohaveinthehouse.Thenewcoloursweremostlybrown,gold,andgray.Ihadtopaintthewholeinteriorofthehouse,soIdecidedtohiresomeprofessionalpaintersfromBrightandBeautifulPaintingCompany.Whenthepainterssawhowbigmyhousewas,theytoldmethatthejobwouldprobablytakeatleastamonth!
Itdidtakethemamonth,butthehousecertainlywasbeautifulwhentheyfinished.
Ofcourse,redecoratingdoesn'tincludeonlypainting.Iwenttolookforcurtainsthatwouldbedifferent,bold,sturdy,andbeautiful.Ialsohadtofindsomecarpenterstobuildmoreshelving.ThecarpenterschangedasmallhallbehindthekitchenintoasmalllibraryforsomeofthebooksthatIcouldn'tkeepinmyotherlibrary.
Aseachroomwaspainted,everythingintheverycrowdedroomhadtobemovedtoanotherovercrowdedroom.Somuchtimewasspent,butitwasworthit.WhileIwasmovingthings,IdiscoveredmanyolditemsthatIhadlostorforgottenabout.Forexample,Ifoundoldclothes,oldbooks,andevensomethingsfrommywedding!
ThelastthingIdidwas
