FryderykChopinwasafamouspianistandmusicwriter.TodaymanypianomusicloversstilllistentohisfamousworkssuchasMinuteWaltz.HewasbornonMarch1,1810inasmallvillageinPoland.EveryoneinChopin’sfamilywasamusician.Hisfatherplayedtheviolin,andhismotherandsisterplayedthepiano.HisfamilymovedtoWarsawwhenChopinwassevenmonthsold.

Whenhewas6yearsold,hestartedtotakepianolessons.Soonheplayedevenbetterthanhisteacher.Atthattime,healsostartedtowritemusic,andbegantogiveconcertswhenhewasonlyseven!

SothenIbegantowatchotherEnglishmoviesaswell.AlthoughIcouldnotunderstandeverythingthecharacterssaid,theirbodylanguageandtheexpressionsontheirfaceshelpedmetogetthemeaning.IalsorealizedIcouldgetthemeaningbylisteningforjustthekeywords.MypronunciationalsoimprovedbylisteningtotheinterestingconversationsinEnglishmovies.Idiscoveredthatlisteningtosomethinginterestingisthesecrettolanguagelearning.Ialsolearnedusefulsentenceslike“It’sapieceofcake”or“Itservesyouright.”Ididnotunderstandthesesentencesatfirst.ButbecauseIwantedtounderstandthestory,Ilookedupthewordsinadictionary.

NowIreallyenjoymyEnglishclass.Iwanttolearnnewwordsandmoregrammar.ThenIcanhaveabetterunderstandingofEnglishmovies.
