Abstract:
Thearticleintroducedtheflowanddesignschemeoffruitautomatedsortingsystem,thecomputertechnologyandautomatictechnologyisusedinsometechnology,suchasthedetectionandcontroltechnology,thedigitalimageprocessingtechnology,thecomputerperipheraldeviceandinterfacetechnology,PatternRecognitiontechnologyetc,isusedinthefruitautomatedsortingsystem.

1.INTRODUCTION
Withthedevelopmentofmodernagriculture&forestryandtheenhanceofindustrialstandard,theoutputoffruitsfrominnercountryandabroadarebeingraisedswiftly.Ontheonehand,thefruitsfromdifferentdistrictaresoldinlocalarea,ontheotherhand,moreplentyoffruitsaresoldtootherdistrictevenabroad,andthesefruitsdemandbeingpackedaccordingtodifferentquality.Inordertopackagethesefruits,wemusttodesignafruitautomatedsortingsystem,becauseifthesefruitswerepackedbyhand,onetheonehand,Thetaskishardanditisinefficient;ontheotherhand,itisnotmeetthedemandsofmodernfruitpackage,whichisneedtobeMulti-layerorhighstandardorhighsanitarystandard.
Toadvancedcountryaftersecondwar,theautomatedsortingsystemisoneoftheessentialequipmentofLogisticscentre,DistributionCentre,orcirculationcentre(Huang,2002),itwasinAmericanandEuropeinthe1960s,automatedsortingsystemwasusedinJapanin1970s
(Xu,2002),Atthepresent,automatedsortingsystemisalsosuccessusedinpostofficebesidesabovefield.Withtheimprovementofmodernizationstandard,itiswidelyusedinmoreandmorefield.almostnosuccessusingaboutfruitautomatedsortingsystembecauseitconcernalotsofknowledgeandsubject,atthesametime,itdemandmorehigherlevelofartificial.Atpresent,wecanonlyseethenewsaboutFruitonicscompany,whichhavedesignedasetoffruitautomatedsortingsystem.
2.THEHARDWAREDESIGNOFFRUITAUTOMATEDSORTINGSYSTEM
InthecourseofdesigningoftheSystem,allkindsoffactorarecomprehensivelythoughtwhenfruitsaresorted.Allkindsoftechnology,suchasdetectionandcontroltechnology,thecomputerperipheralequipmentandinterfacetechnology,thedigitalimageprocessingtechnologyandPatternRecognitiontechnology,isused,atthesametime,advancedalgorithmisusedinthecourseofpatternidentification,anditimprovetheaccuraterateoffruitsorting.
2.1Thehardwareconsistsoffruitautomatedsortingsystem
Thereareallsortsofautomatedsortingsystem,anditsstandardisdifferent.Ingeneral,anautomatedsortingsystemisconsistsofsevenpartition(Xu,2002),itis:

Conveyor,theSettingDeviceOfsortinginstruction,confluencedevice,sortingconveyer,sortinganddischargecargoport,computercontroller(Fig.1)
2.2Theconsistsofhardwareandworkprinciplesoffruitautomatedsortingsystem
Thefruitautomatedsortingsystemisbasedofthetraditionalautomatedsortingsystem,butitisdifferentofthetraditionalautomatedsortingsystem,itisanautomatedsortingsystemwhichishighintelligent,real-time,Multilayer,multiknowledgefieldsandmulticlass.Thissystemhasseveralpart(Xu,2002),suchas:
conveyerdevice,theweightsortingdevice,theappearancesortingdevice,andthequalitysortingdeviceetc.(Fig.2).

ThefunctionmoduleofthefruitautomatedsortingsystemisadapttoitsThehardwareconsist,threemodule,whichisweightsortingmodule,appearancesortingmodelandqualitysortingmodule,isconcludedinthesystem.TheworkprinciplesoftheeachfunctionmodulecanbeexplainedbytheFigure(Fig.3)(Han,2004).

2.2.1Theweightsortingdeviceanditsworkprinciple
Thefruitwhichisneedtobesortedistransferredtothefruitreceive&distributedevicebyconveyerbelt(Fig.3),thefruitreceive&distributedevicecandetecttheweightinformationoffruitbypressuresensor,theanalogweightinformationfrompressuresensoristransferredtodigitalinformationbyA/Dswitch(Zhu,2001),thedigitalinformationissenttothecomputer,thecomputerprocesstheseinformationbyspecialsoftware,theresultfromcomputerissenttodifferentpassagewaybyparallelinterface(thepurposeistocontrolthecontrollerfromfruitreceive&distributedevicewhichcancontrolthedestinationofthefruits),thedigitalinformationfromparallelinterfaceisconverttotheanalogsignalbyD/Aswitch,theanalog
signalismagnifiedbysignalamplifieranditissenttothefruitreceive&distributedeviceinordertocontroltheFlowDirectionofthedifferentweightfruit.Inordertoenterthenextsortingstep,whichisappearancesorting,thefruitfromweightsortingdeviceissenttotheappearancesortingdevicetobesortedbyappearancesortingdevice.

2.2.2Theappearancesortingdeviceanditsworkprinciple
Thefruitfromweightsortingdeviceissenttothefruitreceive&distributedeviceoftheappearancesortingdevice(Fig.4),thehighspeedcamerashootfruitfromvariousangles,theimagefromcamerabesenttothecomputerbythevideocapturecard,thecomputerprocessthevideoinformationbyspecialsoftware,theresultfromcomputeristheclassifiedsignaloffruit,thesignalopenthedifferentsortingpassagewaybyparallelinterface,andthenthesignalismagnifiedbythesignalamplifier.Inordertocontrolthefruitreceive&distributedevice,thefruitsaresenttothedifferentpassageway,andatlastthefruitcanbesenttothepackagedevice.Theimagefromcamerashouldbeprocessedbyedgedetectionandnoiseremoving(evenitmustbecurvefitting)(Guo,2004),andthenitbematchedtodifferentfruitappearancesothatthefruitcanbesortedbyappearance.
2.2.3Thequalitysortingdeviceanditsworkprinciple
Thetwodevices,whichisthequalitysortingdeviceandappearancesortingdevice,havethesimilarworkprocess(Fig.4).therearetwodifferent:
onedifferentisthatthehighspeedcameramustbeinfraredhighspeedcamera;anotherdifferentisthattheyhavedifferentprocesssoftware.thesoftwareofthequalitysortingdevicecanprocessthefruitappearancequality(suchascolorandluster,stainetc)andinnerquality(itisrotornot)accordingtotheimagefromcamera.Itsortsmanlyaccordingtotheimagefromtheinfraredhighspeedcameraandthetradestandard.Intheprocessofsorting,itmakesfulluseofthedigitalimageprocessingtechnologyandPatternRecognitiontechnology.Ingeneral,thefirststepistoscreenaccordingtocolorandlusterandstain,thesecondstepistoscreentheinnerqualityofthefruitaccordingtotheinfraredimage.
3.THESOFTWAREDESIGNOFFRUITAUTOMATEDSORTINGSYSTEM
InthecourseofthedesigningsoftwareoftheSystem,differentdevelopmenttoolshouldbe
thoughtbecauseitreferstothehardware.thesoftwareofweightsortingandthecomputerinterfaceisneedtobedevelopedbyassemblerprogramminglanguagebecauseitreferstohardware,othersoftware,suchasthedigitalimageprocessing,theserialinterfacecommunicationetc,canbedevelopedbyVc++,IthasseveralspecialControlinVc++aboutserialinterfacecommunication(Dong,2005).
4.SUMMARY
Thefruitautomatedsortingsystemreferstodifferenttechnologyformdifferentsubject,suchasautomatictechnology,thesoftwareandhardwaretechnologyofcomputer.Thedigitalimageprocessingtechnology,theartificialintelligencetechnologyetc.thepaperintroducedthedesignthoughoffruitautomatedsortingsystem,theconsistsofhardware,workprincipleandthedesignofsoftware.Thefinalapplicationofthesystemcanbringaboutlargesocialbenefitandeconomicbenefittoagricultureproductionandmanagement.
