1.Logonasalocaladministrator（minimumrequirement）tothecomputerwhereyouwanttoinstalltheadministrativetools.IfyouareloggedonasanastandarduserontheWindowsVistaorWindows7operatingsystems,andUserAccountControl（UAC）isenabled,youwillbepromptedforthelocaladministratororadomainequivalentusernameandpassword.

2.Locatetheinstallationmediaonyourcomputer,andthendouble-click\Setup\amd64\Setup.exe.

3.IfyouarepromptedtoinstalltheMicrosoftVisualC++2008distributable,clickYes.

4.OntheMicrosoftLyncServer2013PreviewInstallationLocationpage,clickOK.Changethispathtoanotherlocationordriveifyouneedtohavethefilesinstalledtoanotherlocation.

5.OntheEndUserLicenseAgreementpage,reviewthelicenseterms,clickIaccept,andthenclickOK.Thisstepisrequiredbeforeyoucancontinue.

6.OntheMicrosoftLyncServer2013Preview–DeploymentWizardpage,clickInstallTopologyBuilder.

7.Whentheinstallationsuccessfullycompletes,clickExit.

1.LogontoacomputerintheforestasamemberoftheSchemaAdminsgroupandwithadministratorrightsontheschemamaster.

2.InstallLyncServerCorecomponentsasfollows:

b）IfyouarepromptedtoinstalltheMicrosoftVisualC++Redistributable,clickYes.

c）TheLyncServer2013PreviewSetupdialogboxpromptsyouforalocationtoinstalltheLyncServerfiles.ChoosethedefaultlocationorBrowsetoalocationofyourchoice,andthenclickInstall.

d）OntheLicenseAgreementpage,checkIacceptthetermsinthelicenseagreement,andthenclickOK.TheinstallerinstallstheLyncServer2013PreviewCoreComponents.

3.StarttheLyncServerManagementShell:

ClickStart,clickAllPrograms,clickMicrosoftLyncServer2013Preview,andthenclickLyncServerManagementShell.

Install-CsAdServerSchema

7.Designthetopology

1.LogontothecomputerwhereTopologyBuilderisinstalledasamemberoftheDomainAdminsgroupandtheRTCUniversalServerAdminsgroup.

2.StartTopologyBuilder:

ClickStart,clickAllPrograms,clickMicrosoftLyncServer2013Preview,andthenclickLyncServerTopologyBuilder.

3.StartTopologyBuilder:

Click Start,click AllPrograms,click MicrosoftLyncServer2013Preview,andthenclick LyncServerTopologyBuilder.

4.InTopologyBuilder,select NewTopology.Youarepromptedforalocationandfilenameforsavingthetopology.Givethetopologyfileameaningfulnameandacceptthedefaultextensionof.tbxml.Click OK.

5.NavigatetothelocationwhereyouwanttosavethenewtopologyXMLfile,enteranameforthefile,andthenclick Save.

6.Onthe Definetheprimarydomain page,enterthenameoftheprimarySIPdomainforyourorganization,andthenclick Next.

7.Onthe Specifyadditionalsupporteddomains page,enterthenamesofadditionaldomains,ifany,andthenclick Next.

8.Onthe Definethefirstsite page,enteranameandadescriptionforthefirstsite,andthenclick Next.

9.Onthe Specifysitedetails page,enterthelocationinformationforthesite,andthenclickNext.

10.Onthe Newtopologywassuccessfullydefined page,ensurethe OpentheNewFrontEndWizardwhenthiswizardcloses checkboxisselected,andthenclick Finish

8.DefineandConfigureaFrontEndPool

1.IntheDefineNewFrontEndPoolWizard,ontheDefinetheNewFrontEndpoolpage,clickNext.

2.OntheDefinetheFrontEndpoolFQDNpage,enterafullyqualifieddomainname（FQDN）forthepoolyouarecreating,clickEnterpriseEditionFrontEndpool,andthenclickNext.

3.OntheDefinethecomputersinthispoolpage,enteracomputerFQDNforthefirstFrontEndServerinthepool,andthenclickAdd.Repeatthisstepforanyadditionalcomputers（uptoeight）thatyouwanttoaddtothepool,andthenclickNext.

4.OntheSelectfeaturespage,selectthecheckboxesforthefeaturesthatyouwantonthisFrontEndpool.Forexample,ifyouaredeployingonlyinstantmessaging（IM）andpresencefeatures,youwouldselecttheConferencingcheckboxtoallowmultipartyIM,butwouldnotselecttheDial-in（PSTN）conferencing,EnterpriseVoice,orCallAdmissionControlcheckboxes,becausetheyrepresentvoice,video,andcollaborativeconferencingfeatures.

a）ConferencingThisselectionenablesarichsetoffeaturesincluding:

i.IMwithmorethantwopartiesinanIMsession.

ii.Conferencing,whichincludesdocumentcollaboration,applicationsharing,anddesktopsharing.

iii.A/Vconferencing,whichenablesuserstohavereal-timeaudio/video（A/V）conferenceswithouttheneedforexternalservicessuchastheLiveMeetingserviceorathird-partyaudiobridge.

b）Dial-in（PSTN）conferencingAllowsuserstojointheaudioportionofaLyncServer2013Previewconferencebyusingapublicswitchedtelephonenetwork（PSTN）phonewithoutrequiringanaudioconferencingprovider.

c）EnterpriseVoiceEnterpriseVoiceistheVoiceoverIP（VoIP）solutioninLyncServer2013Previewthatallowsuserstomakeandreceivephonecalls.YouwoulddeploythisfeatureifyouplantouseLyncServer2013Previewforvoicecalls,voicemail,andotherfunctionsthatuseahardwaredeviceorasoftwareclient.

d）Calladmissioncontrol（CAC）CACdetermines,basedonavailablenetworkbandwidth,whethertoallowreal-timecommunicationssessionssuchasvoiceorvideocallstobeestablished.IfyouhavedeployedonlyIMandpresence,CACisnotneededbecauseneitherofthesetwofeaturesusesCAC.

e）ArchivingArchivingprovidesawayforyoutoarchiveIMcontent,conferencing（meeting）content,orboththatissentthroughLyncServer2013Preview.

f）MonitoringMonitoringServerenablesyoutocollectnumericaldatathatdescribesthemediaqualityonyournetworkandendpoints,usageinformationrelatedtoVoIPcalls,IMmessages,A/Vconversations,meetings,applicationsharing,andfiletransfers,andcallerrorandtroubleshootinginformationforfailedcalls.
