【教材分析】

Thethemeofthisunitishumanandnature,focusingonthethemeofwildlifeprotection.Natureisacomplexecosystem,inwhichtherearedelicatebalancebetweenanimalsandplants.Becauseoftheroleofthefoodchain,theextinctionofonespecieswillproduceinfluence,causingaseriesofchainreaction.Largescaleextinctionofspecieswillhaveaseriousandevenirreversibleimpactontheecosystem,resultinginimmeasurablelosses.Therefore,itisofgreatsignificancetoprotectwildspecies.Toprotectwildspeciesistoprotecthumanbeingsthemselves.

Themottoofthisunitis“whenthebuyingstops,thekillingcantoo,”whichisapublicserviceadvertisingslogantoprotectwildlife.Ittellspeoplethateveryrhinoceroshorn,everyfur,everybowlofsharkfinsoup,everyivoryproduct,andeverytigerboneproduct,etc.consumedbyhumanbeings,areinnocentwildanimalsslaughteredbehindthem.

Themissionofwildaidistobanillegaltradeinendangeredwildlifeandmitigateclimatechange.Itaimstoeducatethepublictoreducetheconsumptiondemandforendangeredwildlifeproductsthroughpublicpublicityandimprovetheawarenessofenvironmentalprotection.
