1.General
1.0.1Thiscodeisappliedtothedesignforthenewconstructionprojectofgroundsteelstoragetankyardsinthestorageandtransportationsystemfortheliquidfeedstock,liquidproductsandtheby-productliquidmaterialsofpetrochemicalenterprises,anditisalsoapplicabletoexpandedandrehabilitationprojectsasareference.
Forthedesignofgroundsteelstoragetankyardfortheoildepot,thiscodeshallbeusedforreference.
1.0.2Thiscodeisnotapplicabletothedesignoflow-temperatureandnormal-pressurestoragetankyardfortheliquidhydrocarbon.
1.0.3Whenimplementingthiscode,thestipulationsmadeintherelevantmandatorystandardsandspecificationsshallbecompliedwith.
2.SelectionofTanks
2.1Capacityoftanks
2.1.1Numberofstoragedaysforthecrudeoilandvariouskindsofoilsshallcomplywiththefollowingprovisions:

Thestoragetanksthecapacitiesofwhichshallbedefinedaccordingtothistable,consistoftheproducttanks,compositiontanksandblendingtanks.
Incasethereistransitstorage,itscapacityoftanksshallbeincludedinthetotalcapacitiesoftanksdefinedaccordingtotheabovetable.
Whenthedeliverywayisinlandandoffshorewatertransportation,thesumofthecapacitiesofproducttanksandblendingtanksshallsatisfyatthesametimetherequirementsforthecontinuousoperationandonecargoloadingcapacity.
Incasetheproductisdeliveredfromtheplantbytheoceantransportation,itisrecommendedthenumberofstoragedaysshallnotbelessthan30daysbutnotmorethan60days.Thesumofthecapacitiesofproducttanksandblendingtanksshallsatisfyatthesametimetherequirementsforthecontinuousoperationandonecargoloadingcapacity.
4.Itisrecommendedthatthenumberofstoragedaysforthefueloiltobeusedbytheplantitselfbe3days,andthenumberofstoragedaysforthefueloilpurchasedoutsidebedefinedwithreferencetoTable2.1.2-1.
2.1.2Numberofstoragedaysforthepetrochemicalfeedstockandproductoilsshallcomplywiththefollowingspecifications.
1.ItissuggestedtodefinethenumberofstoragedaysformainfeedstockaccordingtoTable2.1.2-1.

2.1.4Whendefiningthecapacityoftanks,itisnecessaryforthecalculateddailystoragecapacityforvariousmediatosatisfythefollowingprovisions:
1.Thedailystoragecapacityforvariousmediashallbecalculatedaccordingtotheannualhandlingcapacityspecifiedforthegeneralprocessflowofwholeplantortheannualoutputforthewholeplant.
2.Thedailystoragecapacityoffeedstockandintermediatefeedstockshallbetheaveragedailyfeedcapacityofthenumberofoperatingdaysfortheunit.
