The OpenChargeMap projectisanopensourcedatabasewithapublicAPIforsharinganddistributingcharginglocationinformationglobally.Informationinthissystemisgatheredbothmanuallyandautomaticallyfromavarietyofdatasources.Theprojectaimstoprovidegloballyrelevantdatafreelytootherapplicationdevelopersandnavigationproviders.

The EVChargerMaps websiteisavolunteerruneffortcoordinatedby EVChargerNews thatcatalogsEVchargingstationinformationacrosstheU.S.Itcontainsinformationtargetedforreal-worlduseby electricvehicle owners.

California,ArizonaandNevadaalongwiththeirAutomobileClubsarefundingthe CleanCarMaps tolisttheavailablestationsforalternativefuel.Thedatabasecontains381chargingstationsinCalifornia（367operational）inAugust2010.

The LEMnetinternetdatabase isoperatedby Park&Charge.[1] Thedatabasedoesnotonlyprovidelocationsofthe Park&Charge stationsbuteveryoneisfreetoregistertheirstations.AsofAugust2011thedatabaselistsmorethan3100activecharginglocationsinEurope.Thisincludessomeofthe190locations（March2011）oftheDrehstromnetz initiativewhichisspecializedonprivatelyowned400Vthree-phasechargingstations（German"Drehstromnetz"means"three-phasenetwork"）andthe200（May2010）chargingstationsofthe RWEMobility infrastructurewhichalsooffers400Vthree-phasecharging.TheLEMnetdatabasedoesnotincludeallofthe2500chargingstations（March2010）listedinthe ElektroTankstelleninternetdatabase operatedbytheAustrian"Eurosolar"initiativeeventhatthereissomeoverlapindata.Allofthemoffer KMZmap filesand POIcollection filesfornavigationsystemsenhancedwithinformationrequiredforelectricvehicleownerstofindapublicchargingpointinEurope.

PODPoint [2] isaUK-basedproviderofelectricvehicleinfrastructureactuallypublishtheliveavailability [3] oftheirchargingpointsonline,andinthenearfuturewillallowuserstobookchargingpointsinadvance.

PlugShare isacrowdsourcedmapofpublic,privateandresidentialcharginglocations.ThesiteusesGoogleMapstoprovideamapofcharginglocationsandtheirowndatabasetofilterbychargingtype.Publicchargers,privatechargers,andresidentialcharginglocationsarelisted.TheserviceprovidesanappforiOSandAndroidwhichallowsuserstolocatechargersneartheircurrentlocation.Anaccountisneededtoviewprivatepersons'charginglocations,astheselocationsarelocatedatthehomesorbusinessesofPlugsharemembers.

SunCountryHighway includesamapof1000ofitschargersacrossCanadaandtheUS.

Infrastructureproviders[edit]

∙FullChargerInternational,foundedin2009,isthefirstFrenchoperatorofchargingstationsforelectricvehicleswithmulti-territorialnetworks.Theyproposetolocalauthoritiesandprivateoperatorscompletesolutionsforelectricmobility.Moreovertheyappearonthismarketasaleaderthroughtheirsubsidiaries.FullChargerChargePointNetworkistheworld'slargestnetworkacross23countries.FullCharger'stargetistopioneerandbethemainsolutionproviderinbuildingandoperatingamulti-territorialsmartnetworkofthemostadvanced,secure,easytouseelectricvehiclecharginginfrastructure,throughauniqueapproachbringingaddedvaluetopublicauthorities,privatesectorandEVdrivers.

∙Elektromotive ElektromotiveisaUK-basedcompanyspecialisinginthemanufactureandinstallationofcharginginfrastructureforelectriccarsandotherelectricvehicles,usingtheirtradenameofElektrobay.ThecompanyhaspartnershipswithmajorcorporationsincludingEDFEnergyandMercedes-Benztosupplychargingpostsanddataservices.

∙CoulombTechnologies´ChargePointNetworkincludespublicchargingstations,aconsumersubscriptionplanandutilitygridmanagementtechnologytohelp electricutility companiestosmoothelectricaldemandsonthegrid.[2][3] CoulombTechnologiesisdevelopingtheircommercialChargePointnetworkintheU.S.,Norway,theNetherlandsandGermany.TheChargePointnetworkdoesnotincludebatteryswapstationsasof2009.[4]

∙BetterPlace wasstartedby ShaiAgassi onOctober29,2007,focusingonbuildingmassivescaleElectricRechargeGridsasinfrastructuretosupportthedeploymentofelectricvehicles（includingplug-inhybrids）.Thecompanyhadsaiditwasintalkswithmorethan25countriesaroundtheworld.BetterPlacecalledthemselvesthefirstElectricRechargeGridOperator（ERGO）[5] andwasdevelopingcommercialelectricvehiclenetworksinAustralia,[6] Canada,China,[7] Denmark,Israel,[8] Japan,[9]theU.K.,andtheU.S.[10] BetterPlaceplannedtoincludebatteryswitching,orswapping,stationsintheirnetworkwhichwouldallowdriverstoquicklyexchangeanelectricvehicle'sdischargedbatterypackforafullychargedpack.InBetterPlace'sbusinessmodel,thebatterypackisownedbythenetworkoperatorwhothenbillstheelectricvehicleownerforuseofthebatterybasedondistancetraveled.

∙Park&Charge[1] isaEuropeanCharginginfrastructureforelectricvehicles. Park&Charge wasfoundedin1992bymembersoftheelectriccarclubinSwitzerland（ECS）.[11] Todaythereisa Park&Charge atnearly500locationsinSwitzerland,Germany,Austria,HollandandItaly,offeringasafeandeasywayfordriversofelectricvehiclestochargetheirvehiclebatteries.ThelocationsofthechargingstationsinEuropewillbepublishedinLEMnet[12] internetdatabasewhichisoperatedby Park&Charge.

∙AdvancedEnergy,inpartnershipwith RockyMountainInstitute hasannounceda RequestforInformation （RFI）forEVSEspecifictochargingstationsforplug-inelectricvehicles（EV）.[13]

∙EV-ChargeAmerica ofLasVegashasdevelopedthefirstnetworkedchargingstationscapableofchargingupto4vehiclessimultaneously.Theyhavesoldchargingstationsworldwideandareworkingtoprovidethemostadvancedgridmanagementsoftwaretoolsintheindustryforutilitycompaniesandvehiclecommunications.

∙EVConnect hasbeenpartytoanumberofelectricvehicleinfrastructuregrantsfromtheCaliforniaEnergyCommissionincludingtheupgradeofexistingcharginginfrastructureacrosstheStateandbuildinganintegratedtransitEVchargingnetworkwiththeLosAngelesMetro.

∙BlueMobilitySystems developsandprovidessmartsolutionsforchargingalltypesofelectricvehicles.Belongstoanewcurrentofmobility,offeringsolutionsfortheintelligentchargingofallkindofelectricvehicles（EV）.
