在“makeit+adj./n.+forsb/sth+todosth”结构中,it是形式宾语,真正的宾语是后面的动词不定式,而形容词(或名词)充当了宾语补足语成分。
另外,it作形式宾语,除了可指代不定式结构外,还可以指代that引导的宾语从句:
makeit+adj./n.+thatclause。

本句中,nowthat意为“由于,既然”,引导原因状语从句。
在语义上相当于since,有时that可以省略。
