Theemphasisofthisperiodwillbeplacedontheimportantnewwords,phrasesandsentencepatternsinWarmingUp,Pre-reading,Reading,ComprehendingandDiscoveringusefulwordsandexpressionsinLearningaboutLanguage.Therearealtogether44newwordsandphrasesinthesefiveparts.17ofthemaremarkedwithtriangles,whichshowsthatthestudentsneedn'tlearnthembyheart.Itisenoughtorecognizethemwhenmeetingthemwhilereadingthepassage.Theother27shouldallberemembered,amongwhichthefollowingwordsandexpressionsareevenmoreimportant:
