TheFrequencyRedefinitionprocedureisusedbythenetworktochangethefrequenciesandhoppingsequencesoftheallocatedchannels.

26.6.6.1.1Conformancerequirements

AnMS,afterreceivingaFREQUENCYREDEFINITIONmessage,shallstartusingthenewfrequenciesandhoppingsequenceinthecorrecttimeslotwhentheMSisallocatedadedicatedchannel.

ThebehaviourdescribedinthetestpurposeisappliedforeachcombinationofthevalueT(k)(k=1,2,3)andforeachsupporteddedicatedchanneltype.

ThechannelmodemodifyprocedureallowsthenetworktorequesttheMStochangethechannelmodeforonechannel.IfthemobilestationdoesnotcorrectlyrespondtotheCHANNELMODEMODIFYmessage(withapositiveacknowledgementifthenewchannelmodeissupported,withanegativeacknowledgementifthenewchannelmodeisnotsupported),thenetworkmaytrytorepeattheprocedure,releasetheconnection,orcontinuetowaitfortheacknowledgement(themaximumtimeresultingfromlayertwore-transmissionsandMSreactiontimebeingaround5 s).
