ButTubmancouldnotleaveherfamilyenslavedintheSouth.Soshetravelledbacktohelpthemescapeaswell.Then,shemademanytripsandguidedabout300slavestofreedom.TubmanalsofoughtbravelyintheAmericanCivilWarandin1865slaverywasnotallowedinthe US.
