Atleast5,712peoplehavediedfromtheswinefluvirus,accordingtotheUnitedNationsagency.Healthworkers,pregnantwomenandpeoplewithconditionssuchasasthmaaredeemedatgreatestriskandshouldbetoppriorityforgettingtheshot.

“Wehaveseenmany,manyexamplesofpeopleinhighriskgroupssuchaspregnantwomenwhohaveveryseverediseaseoroutcomes.Theseoutcomescouldbeinalllikelihoodavoidedifoneweretogetvaccinated,”Hartlsaid.

Unlikeseasonalflu,whichismostdangeroustotheelderly,H1N1ishittingyoungeradultsandchildrenespeciallyhard.
