[Abstract]:

ThisthesisexploresthedifferencesbetweenChineseandWesternfooddieteticculture.Thefooddieteticcultureplaysanimportantroleintheworldculture.ThedifferencesbetweenChineseandWesternculturecreatedthedifferencesbetweenChineseandWesternfooddieteticculture.Differentcountrieshavetheirownfooddieteticcultural.Indifferentculturalcontexts,bothinconcept,objects,manner,tableware,etiquetteandnature,thesedifferencesareobvious.Butasthecommunicationandintegrationoftheinternational,Chineseandwesternfoodculturewillbedevelopedincommoncommunicate.Thiswillplayasignificantroletopromotethecommunicationofcultureintheworld.

本篇论文探讨了中西方饮食文化的差异.饮食文化在世界文化中起着

非常重要的作用.中西方文化的差异带来了中西饮食文化的差异,不同的国家有

自己不同的饮食文化特点.在不同的文化背景下,无论是在观念,对象,方式,餐具

还是礼仪等各方面,这些不同都是显而易见的.但是,随着国际的交流与融合,中

西饮食文化业将会在交流中共同发展,这对全世界范围内的文化交流将起到促进

作用.

Introduction

Withthedeepeningoftheinternationalcommunication,indifferentcountriesorculturalbackground,thecommunicationofpeopleareincreasingallthetime,andthecommunicationbetweenthemiscalledinterculturalcommunication.Interculturalcommunicationsgraduallybecomesanindispensablecontentofpeople'slife.Duetothedifferencesofregional,differentnationsandcountriesformdifferentcultures.Peoplewithdifferentculturalbackgroundsbehaviororhabitsisendlessandsame,theyhavetheirsocialstatuteorhabits,reflectedinthepoliticaleconomy,educationreligion,culture,artandsoon.AmericafamousnewlychemicalrepresentativefigureWhiteiscalled“fatherofculturology”,heputthecultureasakindofspecialandobjectivesocialphenomenon,andasacompletesystem(White,1949).Sospecially,whatisculture?

ChenHuawenoncelistscasestoillustratetheconnotationandimportanceofculture;hesaid“cultureislikeairandwaterthatpermeateseverycornerofourlives,peopleareenjoyingthecultureachievementsthatwerecreatedbypredecessorsineverytime,also,peopleareinventingnewcultureineverymoment.Ourprogressistheresultoftheculturecreationanddeveloping.”(ChenHuawen,2001:

2)Whenpeoplearecommunicatingunderthedifferentculturebackground,thelanguageandnon-languagefactorswhichinfluenceofmessageeffectaremakecommunicationhenculture.Ifforeignlanguagelearnersarelackofknowledgeforitsbehaviorandfunction,itwillappearinappropriatebehavior,resultinginthecommunicationbarriers,anditisdifficultforeffectivecross-culturalcommunication,asaresultcausesofcommunicationerror.

Thedietisthefirstneedforhuman’ssurvivalanddevelopment;alsoitistheoneofthebasicformofsociallife.Howeverunderthedifferentculturalbackground,havingdifferentdietideaanddietcustom,thenfinallyformthedifferentdietculture.Foodcultureisanimportantpartintheinterculturalcommunication.UnderstandthedifferencesbetweenChineseandwesterndietcultureanditsorigin,forforeign

languagelearners,notonlyincreasetheunderstandingofthetargetlanguageculture,

butalsoimprovethesuccessrateofinterculturalcommunication,avoidthemisunderstandingsandcommunicationbarriersjustbecauseoftheinappropriatewayorbehavior.InSunWeixue’sbook<>,heoncepointedoutanycountryintheworldshouldcarryoutculturalexchangesandpublicityactively,thisisnotonlybenefittotheirnativeculture,butalsospreadthecultureinworldwide.(SunWeixue,2004)ThispaperexpoundedfromvariousofthedifferencesbetweenChineseandwesternfooddieteticculture,enhancemutualunderstandingandfacilitatecommunication.

 

ChapterOneChineseandWesternFoodDieteticCulture

1.1CharacteristicsofChinesefooddieteticculture

Chinaisoneofthemostancientcountriesontheworld,ithasthelonghistoryof5000years,andcreatedinnumerablesplendidcivilization.Inthisculture,itmakesChinacontainmoreexpansiveandprofounddiet.Ithasexperiencedseveralthousandyearsofhistorydevelopment,andhasbecomeoneofthemostimportantChinesetraditionalculturesofdepartment.

Becauseofthedistrictdifferenceinourland,itgraduallyformedfourmajorcuisinesthatisSichuancuisine,Guangdongcuisine,ShandongcuisineandChaozhoucuisine.Thisfourmajorcuisinehavedifferentfeatures,butincommoniswithmakingcomplexfastidious,theproductmethodsareverycomplex,andhaveagreatdiversityoftasteanddishes,thisisamazing.Becauseofourvastland,therearedifferencesinclimate,productsandcustomineveryplace.Foralongtime,onfoodwasformedmanyflavor.Ourcountryhasbeenhavethesayingof“southricenorthnoodles”,inthetaste,ithasthedifferencesthat“sourineast,hotinwest,sweetinsouthandsaltyinnorth",itmainlyhavefourflavoraboutBashu,Qilu,HaiyangnandYuemin.(ZouGuangwen,1998)Ontheotherhand,alltheyearround,accordingtoseasonforeatisafeatureinChina’scooking.Sinceancienttimes,ourcountryhasbeenaccordingtoseasonchangestotaste,anddishes.Wintertastestrong,summer

flavorcleaner;inthewintermorebraisedstews,summermorecold.

Inthelong-termdevelopment,evolutionandaccumulationprocess,Chinesepeoplegraduallyformeditsownuniquefoodfolkfrommanyaspects,suchasdietstructure,foodproduction,foodutensils,nutritionhealthyanddietaesthetic,thiscreatedadietwithuniqueflavoroftheChinesefoodculture,becomeapearloftheworldfoodculture.

1.2CharacteristicsoftheWesternfooddieteticculture

Rationalwesternerspaymoreattentiontothenutritionandsurvival.DuetothedifferentphilosophicalthoughtsofChineseandwestern,westernersindiettakesthe

science,takesthescienceaboutnutrition,sothenutritionisthesupremeprincipleinthewesterndiet.

Eatinglikeabiologicalmachineaddfuel,especiallyaboutthefood'snutritioncomposition,protein,fat,carbohydrates,vitaminsandallkindsofinorganicelementcontent,(DangBinghua,2010)whethercaloriesupplyproperly,andwhetherthesenutrientscanbefullyabsorbed,andpresenceofothersideeffects,anddishescolor,fragranceandtasteisthesecondrequirement.Eveninthewest’sleadingpower–France,eventhoughinmanyaspectsthedietcultureissimilarwithourdiet,butacontacttonutrition,bothsideswillthegap.WhileFrenchcookalsopursueddelicious,butalsoadheretothe“nutrition”thisonemajorpremise,theydon’tagreewithpiecesofnutritionandbegdelicious.

Inthecultureofdiet,westernershavetheculturedescentofnomadsandsailingnationality,theyhunting,breeding,aidedbyacquisitionandplanting,theyeatmoremeet,theeating,wearingandusingaretookofanimals,eventhewesternmedicinearemadefromanimalstotake.Paymoreattentiontoanimalproteinandfatintake,inthestructureofdiet,alsowithanimalfigurinesinthemajority,itismainlydishes,beef,chicken,pork,muttonandfish.Sothemeatdiethasbeenveryhighinproportion.Inmoderntimes,plantingproportionisincreasing,buttheproportioninmeatstillhigherthanChinese.
