Duringmyhighschoolyears,Ihavefoundchemistry,physics,andmathematicsinteresting.Actually,Iaminterestedinmanysubjectssuchas biology,history,geography,Chinese,andEnglish.ButsomehowIcannotrememberthehistoricaleventsorthefactsaboutgeographyindetail.Icannotrememberbiologicaltermswell,either.Ontheotherhand,chemistry,physics,andmathematicsareeasyformebecausetheyseemlogicaltome.AfterconsideringmyinterestsandtalentsIfeelthatscienceorengineeringmightbethebestchoiceformycareer.Iwouldliketostudyscienceorengineeringincollege.AftergraduationfromcollegeIhopetogoforhighereducationoverseas.EventuallyIwouldliketoreturntoschooltoteach.Thisismycareerplan.

2.TheHumanities【人文科学】

Inacomplexsocietytherearemanyjobswhichmustbedonetokeepthesocietyrunningsmoothly.Theremustbemanykindsoffactoryworkers,salesmen,mechanics,policemen,firemen,miners,secretaries,bookkeepers,busdriversandmanyotherworkers.Allthesepeopleareimportanttothecomfortandsafetyofoureverydaylives.

5.CityandCountryLife【都市生活与乡村生活】

Lifeinthecityisverydifferentfromlifeinthevillagesandonthefarms.Peopleinlargecitiesaremuchmorecarefultorespecttheprivacyoftheindividual.Sometimesthisfeelingseemstobeoneofindifference,butitisaconventionofcitylifetocurbone'scuriosityaboutthepersonalaffairsofstrangers.Villagersandfarmersarelikelytoshowagreatdealofinterestinalltheirneighbors.Opportunitiesforbrightyoungpeoplearegreaterinthecitiesandtherehasbeenasteadystreamofhopefuljobseekersfromthevillagesandfarmstothelargemetropolitanareas.

Weoftendonottakemuchnoticeofthepeoplearounduswhoonpublicservicejobs.Thesepeoplearetrainstationworkers,airlinestewardess,firemen,policemen,busdrivers,taxidriversandsoldiers.Onlyduringsomeaccidentthesepeoplearethenthefirstonestocometoouraidandsometimesattheriskoftheirownlives.Recently,Isawabigfireinaten-storyapartmenthousewherefiremenworkedundergreatdanger.Luckilyinthiscasenoonewashurt.Eachofushavewithinustheessenceofbraveryavailableonoureverydayjob,orjustgoingtoschool,orathome.Soldiersarecalledtoshowbraveryindefendingtheircountryfromaggression.Sometimesduringanationaldisastersuchasanearthquakeortyphoonsoldiersarecalledtohelpshowbraveryandstrength.

Nothingventured,nothinggained.Somepeopletaketheviewthatsometimesinlifewehavetotakechancesinordertomakeprogress.Iadmiresuchpeople.Itcertainlytakesgutstotakerisks.Maybeit'sbecauseofmyupbringing,butIamthetypewhousuallyplaysitsafe.

Peoplelikemepreferthesaying,"Abirdinthehandisworthtwointhebush."Conservativeasitmaybe,itkeepsmeoutoftrouble.Imustconfess,however,thatleadingsuchamoderatelifemay,attimes,beboring.Admittedly,mylifeisnothalfascolorfulorexcitingasotherpeople'sbutatleastitgivesmeasenseofsecurity.

不入虎穴，焉得虎子。

有些人认为我们在一生之中，有时候必须冒点险以求进步。

我佩服这些人。

冒险的确须有勇气才行。

也许是由于我的成长背景，我是属于那种稳扎稳打型的人。

像我这样的人喜欢这句格言：

「一鸟在手胜于两鸟在林」。

也许这种说法有些保守，但是那可使我免除麻烦。

但我必须承认的是，过如此平凡的生活，有时候可能很无聊。

无可讳言地，我的生活不及其它人一半的多采多姿和刺激，但是至少它使我有安全感。
