AlargeearthquakehitHebeiprovinceinnorthernChinaon10thJanuary1998.Theearthquakewasverypowerful.Itmeasured6.2ontheRichterscale.Fiftypeoplediedintheearthquake,andthousandsmorewereinjuredormadehomeless.Over100,000housesweredestroyedordamaged.
