Oncetheneedforfoodwasmet,thenextchallengewouldarise--wheretofindaplacetosleepforthenight.Fortunately,localprogramsliketheCoalitionfortheHomeless,SecondHarvestFoodBankandtheWayneDenschCenterwereanimportantpartofmyabilitytosurvivemypainfulexperience.

Withtheassistanceoftheseprograms,IwasacceptedbyacollegescholarshipprogramthroughtheCoalitionandobtainedtwodegreesfromValencia.

Myexperiencehashelpedmeunderstandthatdevotingmylifetohelpingothersofferslastingrewards.Today,IamemployedasChildhoodHungerProgramsManageratSecondHarvestFoodBankandoverseethesummerfeeding,Hi--FiveKidsPack,andKidsCaféprograms.Iamsoproudtobeabletodistributefoodresourcestothosewonderfulprogramsandhelphundredsmorelikeme.
