“Andifthatwassoimportantandimprovedeverythingsomuch,whyarewenomadsalloveragain,Mr.Arnold?
”
Mr.Arnolddidn’tknowwhattosay.Lucywasaveryintelligentgirl.Heknewthatshelivedwithherparentsinahouse,soshemustknowthatherfamilywerenotnomads;sowhatdidshemean?
“Wehaveallbeenomadsagain,”continuedLucy,“Theotherday,outsidethecity,theywerecuttingtheforestdown.Awhileagoafishermantoldmehowtheyfish.It’sthesamewitheveryone:
