TheLakeTianchiMonsterisanalleged"lakemonster"whichdwellsinLakeTianchi,withintheChangbaiMountainsofJilinProvince,China,notfarfromtheNorthKoreanborder.Somereportsarguethatthereisnotamonster,butanestimated20monsters.

Thefirstreportedsightingwasin1903.Itwasclaimedthatalargebuffalo-likecreatureattackedthreepeople,butwasshotsixtimes.Themonsterthenretreatedunderthewater.

Morerecentreportsdescribethemonsterashavingahuman-likeheadattachedtoa1.5mneck.Itissaidtohaveawhiteringaroundthebottomofitsneck,andtherestofitsskinisgreyandsmooth.

Inanotherrecentsighting,agroupofsoldiersclaim/theysawananimal/movingonthesurfaceofthewater.Thesoldiers,whowerewalkingalongthesideofthelake,watchedthecreatureswimming/forabouttwominutes.“Itwasgreenish-black/andhadaroundhead/with10-centimetrehorns”,oneofthesoldierssaid.

Athirdreport/camefromLiXiaohe,whowasvisitingthelake/withhisfamily.Heclaimstohaveseenaroundblackcreature/movingquicklythroughthewater.Afterthreeorfourhundredmetres/itdivedintothewater.Tenminuteslater/themonsterappearedagain/andrepeatedtheaction.MrLiXiaohesaidthat/heandhisfamily/wereabletoseethemonsterclearly/becausetheweatherwasfine/andthelakewascalm.
