CourseDescription
FinancialMarketsandSystemsisdesignedtofamiliarisestudentswiththecomponentsofthefinancialsystemaswellastointroducethemtothethreebasicideasunderpinningfinance:
thetimevalueofmoney,diversificationandarbitrage.
Theaimofthecourseistoprovidestudentswithintroductoryexposuretofinancialtransactionsandmarketsincludingmoneymarkets,stockmarkets,derivativemarketsandcontracts.ItprovidesstudentswithasolidfoundationthatissubsequentlybuiltuponinunitsincludingAppliedInvestment(FINM7008),AppliedFinancialInstrumentsandRiskManagement(FINM7041).
