(一)情态动词may的用法
英语中表达“可能”的方式有很多,除了可以使用表示可能的形容词或副词,
如:
perhaps,possibly,probably,maybe等,
我们还可以使用“情态动词”
如果要表达“某人可能做某事”或“某事可能会发生”,我们就可以用情态动词may。
情态动词may:
表示可能,“可能,也许”
其否定式maynot:
“可能不”
E.g.Hemayberight.他可能是正确的。
Shemaynotbethere.她可能不在那儿。
注意:
may和might都可以表示可能性,“或许,可能”
might表示可能性,语气更加不确定。
E.g.Theymightbeinthelibrarynow.
现在他们可能在图书馆。
【拓展】情态动词can/may/must/should/would
Must
(1)以must 开头的一般疑问句----肯定回答:
只能用must
----否定回答:

(2)Must 和haveto 用法的区分:
表示 “必须,一定”是,句子是一般现在时的时候只能用must,
其他各种时态都用haveto.
May
(1)表示对客观事实可能性的推测:
may+do 表示对现在情况的推测;
mayhave+动过分 表示对过去情况的推测
(2)以may开头的一般疑问句---肯定回答:
通常都用may

would主要表示“愿意”,其次作为will的过去时使用,多用于情景对话中。

此时可用beableto代替。
Can只有一般现在时和一般过去式;而beableto则有更多的时态。

当表示“经过努力才得以做成功某事”时应用beableto,不能用Can。
如:

2)表示请求和允许。

此时可与may互换。
在疑问句中还可用could,
might代替,不是过去式,只是语气更委婉,不能用于肯定句和答语中。

3)表示客观可能性(客观原因形成的能力)。

(2)动词不定式作宾语
概述:
动词不定式是动词的非谓语形式之一,其表现形式为“to+动词原形”
(1)常见的能接动词不定式作宾语的动词有:
want,like,love,wish,hope,need,try,ask,seem,help,learn,decide,plan,start,begin,forget,remember,choose,prepare,agree等。
(2)有些动词后面接复合宾语时,常用it作形式宾语,而真正的宾语则由动词不定式来担当,并位于宾语补足语之后。
常见的动词有:
find,think,feel,make等。
E.g.Ifinditinterestingtoplaycomputergames.
Weallthinkitverydifficulttofinishtheworkinanhour.
(3)疑问词+动词不定式
疑问词who,what,which,when,where和how后面接动词不定式可在句中作“宾语,主语和表语”。
