Thereareseveralfactorsthatstudentsconsiderwhenchoosingalecturer,includingtheteachingstyleofthelecturer,thelecturer'sacademicbackground,andthelecturer'sreputationamongstudents.Theideallecturerisonewhohasaninterestingteachingstyle,adiverseacademicbackground,andagoodreputationamongstudents.

Therearebothpositiveandnegativeaspectstoallowingstudentstochoosetheirlecturers.Givingstudentsthechoiceencouragesthemtotakeownershipfortheirclasses,andalsoputspressureonteacherstoimprovetheirteachingquality.

However,thefactorsthatstudentsconsidermightnotbetheonesthatleadtothehighestqualityofeducation.Schoolsmightendupwithlecturerswhoteachinterestingclasseswithoutmuchcontent.

Long-span,segmented-concrete,cable-stayedbridgessuchasHaleBoggsinLouisianaandtheSunshineSkywayinFlorida,andremarkabletunnelslikeFortMchenryinMarylandandMr.bakerinWashingtondevelopedunderthenation'sphysicalchallenges,Trafficcontrolsystemsandmethodsofconstructiondevelopedudertheinterstateprogramsooninfluencedhighwayconstructionaroundtheworld,angwereinvaluableinimprovingtheconditionofurbanstreetsandtrafficpatterns.

 

Today.theinterstatesystemlinkseverymajorcityintheU.S,andtheU.SwithCanadaandMexico,Builtwithsafetyinmindthehighwayshavewidelanesandshoulders,dividingmedians,orbarriers,longentryandexitlanes,ourvesengineeredforsafeturns,andlimitedaccess,ThedeathrateonhighwaysishalfthatofallotherU.Sroads(0.86deathsper100millionpassengermilescomparedto1.99deathsper100milliononallotherroads)

 

ByopeningtheNorthAmericancontinent,highwayshaveenabledconsumergoodsandservicestoreachpeopleinremoteandruralareasofjobs,accesstothegrowthoptionsintermsofjobsaccesstocuturalprogreamshealthcare,andotherbenefits.Aboveall,theinterstatesystemprovidesindividualswithwhattheyenerishmost:

NotonlyhasthehighwaysystemaffectedtheAmericaneconomybyprovidingshippingroutes,ithasledtothegrowthofspin-offindustrieslikeservicestations,motels,restaurants,andshoppingcentres.Ithasallowertherwlocationofmanufacturingplantsandotherindustriesfromurbanareastorural.

 

Bytheendofthecenturytherewasanimmensenetworkofpavedroads,residentialstreets,expressways,andfreewaysbuilttosupportmillionsofvehicles,ThehighwaysystemwasofficiallyrenamedforEisenhowertohonorhisvisonandleadership.Theyearconstructionbeganhesaid:
