1.什么是“时态（tense）”?
“时”就是“时间”；“态”，就是“”形式“，即“”动词的变化“。
“时态（tense）”就是通过动词的组合变化，与动词发生的时间相匹配，或显示动作发生的时间先后,也用来传达说话人的语气。
“时间”，中外都一样，英语和汉语相同：
过去，现在和将来。
在英语中，过去时态和现在时态有相对固定的表达形式，而英语中有将来时间，却没有一般将来时态的相对固定表达形式，也就是说，英语的一般将来时态是借助于其它形式来表达的。

2.怎样才能学会时态？
首先必须掌握时态的基本构成，能用一个动词迅速写出其16种时态（实际上,此说法是错误的）；其二，运用是最好的学习，多阅读，多体会;第三，有时间状语，当然按照时间，确定动词时态；无时间状语，根据上下文，一定学会比较：
两个动词，要么同时发生（几乎不分先后），要么一先一后发生。
