KuaFuChasingtheSunisoneoftheearliestfamousfablesinChina.IttalksaboutthelegendarystoryofKuaFuwhoaspiredtocatchupwiththesun.
Inancienttimes,therelivedagroupofmightygiantsdeepintheforestsinthenorthandKuaFuwastheirleader.Atthattime,theworldwasdesolateanduncultured,infestedwithvipersandbeasts.KuaFukepthangingtheferocious(凶猛的)snakeshecaughtonearsfordecoration,orgrabbedtheminhandswavingproudly.
Inayearwhentheweatherwasextraordinarilyhot,theplantswerescorched(晒焦),theriversweredriedandpeopleweresufferingfromtheintenseheatofthesun.KuaFusworetocatchthesunandtameittoserveforall.
Thesunmovedfleetinglyinthesky,whileKuaFuchaseditlikewindontheground.Whenheshookoffthedustsinhisshoes,thedustsbecameahill;heusedthreestonestosupporthisboilerwhenhewascooking,andthestoneslaterbecamethreemountains.
