In1826,aFrenchmannamedNiepceneededpicturesforhisbusiness.Buthewasnotagoodartist.Soheinventedaverysimplecamera(照相机).Heputitinawindowofhishouseandtookapictureofhisgarden.Thatwasthefirstphoto.
Thenextimportantdateinthehistoryofphotography(摄影术)wasin1837.Thatyear,Daguere,anotherFrenchman,tookapictureofhisreadingroom.Heusedanewkindofcamerainadifferentway.Inhispictureyoucouldseeeverythingveryclearly,eventhesmallestthing.ThiskindofphotowascalledaDaguerreotype.
