3     Configuration

3.1     ArticleMaintenance

ThemasterdataisthefoundationformappingprocessesintheERPSystem.Allthebasicinformationregardingcustomers,sites,vendors,articles,andsooniscontainedinthemasterdata.

Inthearticlemasterdata,youcanmapbothsingleandstructuredarticles（prepacks,sets,genericarticleswithvariants,displays,andsoon）.Whenyouenter（additional）information,suchasthearticletype,merchandisecategory,vendor,orreferencearticle,youarespecifyingimportantcontrolinformationanddefaultvaluesthatwillbeavailablewhenyoucreatethearticle.

3.1.1     ConfiguringaSpecificArticleMaster

InCustomizingfortheArticleMaster,youcanconfigurethedialogformaintainingarticlemasterrecordstosuityourcompany'sspecificrequirements.Inthefollowingsectionanexampleisshownhowtocreateanewscreensequence,addascreenforthebasicdataviewandassignittovariousarticletypes

Thesubscreen2021‘AssignmenttoArticleHierarchy’thatwasdevelopedespeciallyforthearticletypeMODEwillbeaddedtoanewscreensequence.ThenewscreensequencewillbeassignedtothearticletypesHAWA,VOLL,FRIP.

3.1.1.1     DeterminingtheNumberoftheSubScreentobeAdded

Use

Ifyouwanttoconfigureaspecificarticlemaster,forexample,addspecificscreensorsubscreens,youhavetoknowthesubscreensnumberandtheprogramforthescreenforthescreendata.InthearticlemaintenanceyoucanfindoutthesekindofdetailsviatheF1helpandthetechnicalhelp.

Procedure

1.Accesstheactivityusingoneofthefollowingnavigationoptions:

MasterData→ArticleData→Article→Change

2.NavigatetotheBasicDatascreen.

3.Positionthecursorintothefieldintherespectivesubscreen.

4.CalluptheF1Helpfunctionforafield.

5.PushButtonTechnicalinformationtonavigatetothetechnicalhelp.

6.Notedowntheprogramnameandscreennumber.

3.1.1.2     CustomizingtheArticleMaster

Use

Thecustomizingcomprisestwostepswithintheconfigurationofthematerialmaster.Youfirsthavetodefineanewscreensequencetoreplacetheoldscreensequenceafterwards（“definestructureofdatascreens…”）,inthearticlemasterdatarecord.

Procedure

1.Accesstheactivitiesusingthefollowingnavigationoption:

3.1.1.2.1     CopyingtheStandardSequencetotheCustomerNameSpaceandChangeit                                                    

Use

Intheconfiguration,youcanconfigurethescreensequences,thescreensthemselves,andthesubscreens.Toconfigureyourownscreensequence,youwillcopythedefaultsequenceandadjustthisnewlycreatedoneaccordingtoyourneeds.

Procedure

1.Accesstheactivityusingthefollowingnavigationoption:

Logistics-General→MaterialMaster→ConfiguringtheMaterialMaster→DefineStructureofDataScreensforEachScreenSequence

2.Choosethedefaultscreensequence23.

3.Copythescreensequence23tothenewsequenceY1BPretailtabpages

4.SelectlineY1andchooseDatascreens.

5.Selectthedatascreentobechanged（inthiscaseBasicData）andnavigatetothesubscreens

6.Choosealinethatisahiddenscreen（Screennumber0001）

7.OverwritetheprogramSAPLMGD2withSAPLWRF_ARTICLE_SCREENS（theprogramthatyouneedforthescreendata）.

8.ChooseEnter.

9.ChooseF4toseeallavailablescreens.

10.Choosescreennumber2021.
