OneconceptthatnevertookoffwasEdison’sinterestinusingcementtobuildthings.HeformedtheEdisonPortlandCementCo.in1899,andmadeeverythingfromcabinets(forphonograph)topianosandhouses.Unfortunately,atthetime,concretewastooexpensiveandtheideawasneveraccepted.Cementwasn’tatotalfailure,though.HiscompanywashiredtobuildYankeeStadiuminBronx.WhatelsedoyouthinkEdisontriedtocreate?
