Unit1Whenwasheborn?
一、教材分析
本单元主要谈论我们欣赏的人。
SectionA从引导学生说说自己喜欢的体育明星开始展开话题，呈现一些谈论所欣赏的人时能用到的表达方式，同时呈现谈论名人生平与事迹时必然会用到的一些特殊疑问句。
SecB进一步拓展了Peopleweadmire这一话题，巩固相关的语言知识，引导学生学会做人，励志图强，追求卓越，自强不息。
Self-check通过做练习掌握一些谈论名人时常用的句式，能够熟练地口述或写出自己所敬仰的人物。
二、教学目标、
１、知识目标
1.掌握并灵活运用本课的重点词汇kind,loving,swimmer,born,lover,director,means,admire等。

1.辨析：
takepartin与join
takepartin与join都有“参加”的意思，但两者用法不同。
takepartin指参加群众性的活动、会议、竞赛、考试等。
join指参加、加入、某党派、团体并成为其中一员，后面也可以接us，them等表示一群人的词或词组中，表示参与到这些人的活动中。

该句使用了too…to结构，这是英语中一种重要结构，常用来表示因果关系，意为“太…而不能”，本身表示否定意义，too与to之间用形容词或副词原级。
”“too…to”结构还可以用“（not）enough…todosth.”或“so...that….”改写同义句。
