(1)worth表示“值得……”时,后接名词、代词、动名词(主动形式表示被动含义);
表示“价值……”时,后接表示钱数或类似的词语。
(2)worthy表示“值得”时,构成短语beworthyof+名词,beworthyofbeingdone=beworthytobedone。
worthy作定语时,表示“有价值的,值得敬重的”。
(3)worthwhile既可作表语,也可作定语,表示某事因为重要、有趣或受益大而值得去花时间、赌钱或努力。
